If you go off the fair seller rating will you be banned?
 

I am just starting my business and no doubt have made some minor mistakes regarding inventory as I work things out.

One time I didn't have the item in stock , and the 2nd time the item was damaged. So I cancelled the orders within minutes.

This has knocked my rating down to "fair" I am getting nervous now. I am by no means perfect and I feel like i'm constantly walking on a tight rope.

Does amazon have room for small mom and pop shops like me? Or am I a goner? Makes me feel like a complete loser that I can't even do this right though.

I provide superior customer service, but sometimes have problems happens.

To be blunt, its time to get rid of the 'aw shucks' thinking. Learn from your mistakes and make sure they don't happen again. If you can do that ull be fine , if not you won't be

Try not to cancel orders, especially on a new account. It's not doomed yet but you really need to improve those metrics.

Yes - would have to operate very strictly...not having the item in stock is not a good seller move.

Amazon usually gives you a few weeks to a month to fix it before they ban you. But listing stuff you dont have is never the way to do business. I know a seller who was making 500k plus a year who just got banned for that

I am fully expecting to be banned because I sell on amazon as I would on ebay. It's mostly b stock used but "like new". **** happens with used things, things that are out of my control. Oh well I will move completely to ebay where my record is perfect, even though my way of business is the same. I just get 10x more sales on ebay.
