It's like a new flavor of ice-cream.

People are loath to miss out on a supposedly 'in-thing'.

If/when the users come back after say a year of using VPS for stealth, it might be a nice flavor.

Until then, it would be something to use with caution.

I think its a bigger advantage for non-US based sellers. Also US-sellers who may want to sell on other country's platforms.

check the browser settings to see if you are forwarding thru a proxy.

VPS is like totally different computer in totally different place

I think it's a good practice even for Ebay. It decreasing chances to do some stupid mistake, like log in and forget to turn on your VPN
