Opening Amazon Emails

Hi all!

I just opened an email by mistake with gmail with on my iphone, but I could not find any cookies on all the files I checked. The IP is new and the device is new, I was just wondering can they put beacons or anything else?

The email was opened on safari and had on no cookies nor IP related info to another account that could link me, can they see your IP through email? Because from what I understand only the Google IP mask can be seen not the end user. The email was a disbursement notification. Help!

I have opened up a bunch of emails from them in the past on "linkable" machines. Hasn't been a problem. From what I understand the real issue is when there are images in the email.. those can have cookies which can possibly track you. In gmail there is an option to not auto view/open those images. But to put your mind at ease, I'm sure you're okay in this situation. Amzn emails tend to not have images in them in my experience.. but it does happen.

in the past, i have never had any problems with linking when opening amazon emails...
