amazon blocked account and cant log in

amazon have this habit of blocking an amazon account and blocking the ability to log in. My query is they have blocked the account and dont answer emails but i dont even have a bank account on file as yet

can this accountbe reactivated in anyway an dhow do i get my money.

Amazon have never even emailed me to say account has been suspended

Gamefreak 04-05-2013 06:24 PM

sadly you can say goodbye to that account and the funds you have in it... they are notorious for not answering emails on suspended accounts.

They block regardless of a bank account being attached.

Not usual to notify the seller either.

Give more info about the account

a.v.limited 04-06-2013 05:23 AM

its a uk amazon seller account which stay open for between 3 days and 3 weeks and have funds ranging from £200 and £3000

surely they cant keep client funds ?

MICKY H 04-06-2013 06:43 AM

Buddy, read the forums, if you cannot log in, your account is deleted therefore you don't get your money and amazon will never reply. try this e mail jeff@amazon.com, this takes you to seller performance.

Been happening for ages.

Many many users have posted about the issue on the forum.

In the below sub-forum and indeed this one, there are many threads about
amazon & their activities. Account deletion has been happening for ages.

fees

i think they must give you the money as they cant hold it after 90 days but am unsure

would sit in an account of client money would it not

MICKY H 04-06-2013 10:50 AM

you will never see your cash if your account is deleted. Accounts are usually deleted for selling counterfeits or bad selling practices. Accounts suspended meaning you can log in will pay out in 90 days

Amazon only deletes accounts completely when they believe you are a previously suspended seller using stealth techniques to get back on their system to sell. When you are suspected of this and they close the account, you will never see the money. I am sure they do this because most that this happen to are selling counterfeits.

Is this the only time they delete you, when you are linked? Else it's suspension ?

Kelly441 04-07-2013 02:07 PM

I read an article that some people have filed a class action lawsuit against Amazon for these practices.

Not necessarily only when linked - if you get suspended and e.g. your cc is no good, you may be deleted too

Speeder33 04-07-2013 06:56 PM

i believe there are many reasons you can be deleted, not just one or two

tried talking to them before, just give me generic lines, blah blah...at the end of the day the story is they keep your money and you are sol

rsot 04-16-2013 09:20 AM

It is a very difficult situation to sort out - some people have had success but many many stories of failure. Dust yourself off and move on

a.v.limited 05-30-2013 04:56 PM

over 90 days, keep emailing them with no answer
called up and they cant even help

That won't change. Do not expect the money or a response.

n8zzz 05-30-2013 08:07 PM

Yep, simply consider yourself lucky that you didn't waste time burning a new bank account or tax ID number prior to being canned :thumb:

It's a relatively good point about not wasting that info

a.v.limited 06-01-2013 05:14 AM

surely legally they cannot do this though

They ARE doing it, are they not?

Being a stealth account, what are you going to do? Call the police? File a lawsuit? How are you going to explain the stealth account?

Yes they are doing this on both amazon.com & amazon.co.uk.

It has been a FACT of amazon business for the past two years.

Yes they delete accounts & hold the funds.

Sadly, I think they can ... especially if you have a stealth account (seeing as how you are already breaking their terms of agreements just by having one)

You know how when you sign up to create a seller account you HAVE to agree to their terms and agreements? Well those terms and agreements pretty much say that they CAN legally delete or suspend you on a whim for whatever reason they want to protect their site, including not liking the color of your underwear you're wearing today.

Basically, since you are selling on their site, they can pretty much do whatever they want ... delete your account, not contact you, keep your money, whatever

PS: Not too long ago, if an account got suspended, Amazon USED TO send an email called "Notice: Your Amazon Seller Account" and it would say why you were suspended (ODR, linked to other account, copied media) but ... it seems they don't bother to do that anymore - they just delete you with no notice

GreenBean 06-01-2013 11:53 PM

amazon do not need to do a thing.

THEY rule their own show.

Their backs are covered by their own T&S

End of story

Yes I remember that from late 2010 - early 2011 - those days are long gone - quite the nuisance that the deletion is the NORM not the exception

Speeder33 06-04-2013 02:14 PM

deletion is very common now a days, I personally think accounts that are aged a very long time have a less chance of being deleted

Less chance but the moment bad activity is sniffed out...those accounts can go down too - sadly.
