You cannot take the word of someone who only posted 8 times and then disappeared. For all we know, his/her account was banned just a couple weeks later. Also just because something worked for 1 person months ago, does not mean that it will work for the masses today.
If you haven't used your SSN before, you could be fine using it now. I have personally had a successful experience using my own EIN number and altering the spelling of my "suspended name". If for example you were Daniel Jonson, now you might want to spell your name as Danny Johnston. It did not come up as a problem when it came to the tax review time because admittedly, the account became suspended before that for an unrelated reason. You can go either way on this, but some users would say that you could run into some problems down the line if the SSN & name don't match up just perfectly.
