Amazon Re-Listing Options

Once I get my new Amazon Merchant account, I want to start listing my products again. Here is a summary of what I want to sell, with made-up names and product types. The quantities shown are also made up, but shown the relative quantities of each set of items.

Lets say I am selling Gizmos, DoDads and Oodles (made-up names that have absolutely nothing to do with my product mix). I had about 100 Gizmos listed on Amazon, with a typical price of $10. I would sell about 5 per month of Gizmos.

I had about 10 DoDads listed, and I would sell a couple each month for about $75 each.

I had about 5 Oodles listed, and I would sell a couple each month for about $150 each.

I was almost never without a number of competing sellers for all of my Gizmos. Sometimes there would be 5 other sellers, and sometimes there would be 25 other sellers.

There were less competition for the DoDads, where 1 or 2 sales each month was good. There was even less competition for Oodles, where I might sell only one during the month, but I also may be the only game in town.

I have other sales outlets for the Gizmos, but I still would like to be able to sell them on Amazon if I could. For both the DoDads and the Oodles, however, Amazon is the best place to maximize my profit for these items.

What I would like to do is to clear out my supplies of the higher-priced items (DoDads and Oodles), which currently number less than 30. For some of these, however, I may be the only listing for that item.

Recommendations, please.

If you want to clear out your DoDads and Oodles, then either list them at a lower price and accept a lower return on Amazon, but sell them faster, or go over the eBay and list them as a job lot and get rid of them all at once.

Other market places also available to sell as a joblot, craigslist being one I think the Americans use.

Please correct if this is wrong.

If you are the only seller of a dodad or gizmo, what about creating a new detail page with new pictures, a revamped description, and change the UPC code (last 3 digits). It would then look like a new product version.

Look at all Net platforms (and perhaps Craigslist or other direct sale sites too) to spread the sales. Maybe also considering few bulk sales if you want to move things quickly.
