Disbursement to checking account
In Option Two of Step 4 (p. 23) of Amazon Ghost, Aspkin says "some banks don't like it when you have funds being deposited to your account in a different name." Why is this relevant? Does Amazon, when it disburses funds to your checking account, send a document that, in addition to specifying the routing number and account number, says something like "Deposit to the account of ________" where the blank includes the name you have furnished Amazon?
I had assumed until I pondered this that since Amazon can't verify the name on the checking account they send just the routing and account numbers.
This isn't just academic curiosity. Understanding exactly what Amazon does will help determine my name selection.
