Re: What PC Remote Desktop Software Is Good For VPS Running Ubuntu ?
Thanks Jeff,
Will this solution work with my planned set up ?
I want to get a couple of fixed IP VPS's running Ubuntu and use them to access a couple of AMz accts (I have been told Ubuntu would be best option for this).
I also want to be able to gain access to the VPS's from my laptop in Cuba via a dial up connection, I know it will be slow but I dont need to spend much time on the AMz platform as I can respond to customer emails thru Gmail without giving away my IP or the fact that I'm abroad.
If it appears to AMz that I'm accessing from some sort of server, They will throw their toys out of their pram. I have read somewhere that there are ways to prevent them from seeing its a server - Can shed any light on this ?
Will AMz see that I have RealVNC installed on the VPS or just the browser apps ?
It appears that RealVNC only works with Chrome so I'd have to go with that for both VPS's ?
By graphical desktop do you mean desktop environment ? Is there a specific one that would be the safer choice ?
I'd like to have other options for access in case one does not work - Can anyone suggest any other ways to remote access Ubuntu ?
Any advice on this set up that may prevent me from being rumbled ?
Thank you !
