I received this message from amazon:

Thanks for contacting us with your concerns. Please, at your earliest convenience, ask your bank to contact us directly so that we may verify the information on your account. Your account and order will remain on hold until we can do so. We will gladly assist you with this order and any other orders on your account as soon as we receive approval from your bank.

An Account Specialist can be reached via fax at (206) 266-1838.

I am willing to have my bank contact them but, my bank (TD Bank) refuses to contact anyone, they have to be contacted by Amazon. I did a 3-way call with amazon customer service which was no help because the rep could not see my account.

I gave the rep my banks telephone number but, according to the email, they want my bank to fax them, what exactly, they don't say.

What can I do?

What do you mean by "banned"?
Can you still log-in to your buyer account?
What error did you get?

did you have another buyer account that was banned ? this could be the reason

I can think of two reasons that buyer accounts go down on Amazon. There could be other reasons as well.

First, you may have simply tripped something in Amazon's fraud detection system. They may just be trying to verify your information via your bank, a third party.

The second reason I have seen buyer accounts go down is that the account is being used with Amazon Prime as a "drop-shipper" - buying on Amazon and selling elsewhere. Amazon does not make too much money with Amazon Prime and it is a violation of their agreement to use the accounts to re-sell items.

Of course, it could be something else entirely.

I cannot login. I called customer service who informed me that "my account and order are on hold pending further verification this may be due to....."

I wasn't drop shipping. I do think that I tripped their fraud system as I have many buyer accounts and this particular night used the same credit card across multiple accounts.

I was able to get my account reopened after faxing in a copy of my bank statement. I placed another order ( no one said that I couldn't) and today i received a call from 206-266-1000 which is Amazon corporate. I wasn't able to answer and they didn't leave a message.

I called Customer service who repeated the line about account on hold, pending further verification etc etc.

Any idea why they would call me? I've never been called by Amazon corporate before.

Whatever you do it high risk to thẹm Why you have a multiple buyer account anyway? Prime membership?

Seems like something was flagged and having many accounts.

You didnt order the same things from the same accounts? They dont like that.

I contacted them and they want the billing statement for another card I used, a gift card. I told them that its a gift card, faxed them copies of the cards front and back which identifies the card as a gift card and received the same scripted reply "We need the billing statement".

No matter who I talk to via email or phone they only read from a script and see the same-thing over and over.

Sounds like they are giving you a run-around tyrespadded...not sure if this is worth wasting more time over

I filed a complaint with the BBB, hopefully that will provoke a response other than something scripted. I'll update with the results.

P.S. The reason I am pursuing this so vigorously because they have $1,200 in amazon credits and I need to return a $1800 laptop.

I have tried BBB in the past with no results :( hope it works out for your tyres - please keep the forum posted - always a BS reply given by Amazon to my BBB filings.

There aren't any returns on this account. I made these transactions:
Load from coinstar which lead to amazon credits
Purchase laptop
Sign up for Prime with giftcard
Attempted purchase of another laptop. (did not ship)
Closed- need billing statement bull****

Amazon doesn't even know I want to return my one and only completed purchase yet.

If that doesn't work I will followup with planet feedback and an email to bezzos office.
This can all be solved simply by talking to an american that understands what a gift card is.

Success! I don''t know what e-mail actually provoked an unformatted response because I emailed, cis@amazon.com,jeff@amazon.com, bbb and account specialist department but, my account has been unblocked.
