Will amazon suspend my account for negative balance?.

I got scammed and amazon sided with the buyer. I am 100 in debt on amazon. I don't feel like dealing with it right now. I am just selling on stealth accounts right now and letting the account sit. I just got a performance notification tho. Could I get banned for this if I don't pay it for a few month?.

I was just gonna sell small items. get some good feedback and let the negatives fall off.

I'm not a genius at this but from the question you asked to me seems like a valid reason for amazon to suspend you without even considering the fact that you got scammed.

After a short time, Amazon will attempt to charge the card on file for the amount that is owed to them. If the charge does not go through, you will need to put a new card on file and the first thing they will likely do is to attempt to charge that amount to the new card.

So, YES, if you want to keep the account, then you need to make up that negative balance.

But is it not legal to charge a card wothout aconsent?. Also this is not a stealth account. I have a stealth amazon account on backup.

youre right in a way and thats why youll get generic messages on regular basis shortly telling you that an attempt was made to charge your card but was refused by the card's issuing institution and will ask you to pay your funds through credit card or else by wire transfer

You will have consented to this when you agreed the terms in your seller agreement.
Regarding suspending the account, yes in time they will,once the cc is declined and you don't add a new one this is when the account will be suspended.But they will actually want you to sell some goods so they can get there money back at first.

When YOU attached the card to your account, you gave the company permission to use it.
This comes under the terms of your user's agreement with the card company.

Try to start reading the fine print to make sure you understand what happens.

its correct that they make you consent to it.but regardless when they try charging the card the bank refuses it which is why you can wait and see youll get generic messages to pay your negative balance and the wordings will change every now and then but theyll all be generic but your card wont be charged
atleast that was in my case and mine was also nt a stealth account in that case yet never charged

The only reason the bank will refuse the transaction is if the card has no funds. All other details address etc CVV were checked when the account was opened.

rsot's right even if they cant charge it we should in the end pay it

micky,its happened to me thrice because of the items i sell that a negative balance emerged after account was suspended and i usually end up clearing it but I still have 1 account with 7k in negative.been 85 days so far.same generic messages but account not charged.the reason it shows is institution declined charging.this reason showed for all accounts i had that went in negative.i didnt pay any before 50 days and still not charged.This one in its 85th day has an actual banking card that has not expired and has well enough limit to cover the negative balance but still not charged.

A 7K negative balance. How did it manage to get so high??

Had a top 25% account (last Christmas; did 400K in sales for the 30 days of Christmas) that got pulled Dec 28 and waited for the 90+ days for deposit. After that, got a negative balance of about $700 for returns to FBA that AZ authorized. I feel that 3 or 4 times the normal return timeframe is just wrong and not in AZ policy so I did not pay it.

Did you maybe have some really bad products???

I sell books and usually overstock ones .all us editions no vero or international.
sold 120k in 2 weeks in the august season and then got excited and kept prices lower instead of increasing when demand was growing fast.bad move,next thing,5 university bookstores brought more than 25k worth of books in bulk.dhl as you know sometimes handles parcels as if theyre trash or salvage.shipped brandnew but when received 1 of those parcels got very slightly damaged from edges in dhl handling even though it was double bubble wrapped and foam attached on sides .it was very light but theyre right to say that its not scratchless .this happened with only 1 bulk parcel.they told me theyll refund it but didnt reply to my emails and brought another bulk order from me as well.finally 1 month later when the account is nill they fill a to z and refuse to return the books as well or to accept a return label and said amazon will solve the issue.amazon cant give return labels and if they file a to z amazon simply refunds them so thats what happened ,kept the books never replied and got refund and left me with 7k negative and stopped replying to my emails


but the point is almost 3 months now and only generic emails.

A University, I think most of us would agree, would be an honest buyer.

yes ofcourse
university bookstores are legit buyers.but they thought i am giving the return label and might not refund ,they thought amazon should issue return labels .they baically misunderstood the system.it happens with a few buyers as well .not their mistake.
just badluck.but the thing is if you sell high volume you should make provisions for mishaps
