Do you still do FBA inventory with risk of suspension?
I got my account suspended, and want to try stealth. But, my business that I'm thinking of starting would work well with FBA, but i'm just worried about what happens if my account gets found out and suspended again. I was wondering what your experiences are with Amazon suspension and FBA inventory.

Re: Do you still do FBA inventory with risk of suspension?
FBA is a double edged sword. It increases sales BUT if your account is suspended, you will have to pay to have your inventory shipped back. And if Amazon has determined your items are counterfeit, they will be turned over to US Customs to be destroyed.
Re: Do you still do FBA inventory with risk of suspension?
An FBA account will only be suspended if your goods are ⊗⊗⊗⊗ or you are suspected in fraud. You can sell as much as you want, no limits,no rolling reserve, so if you are certain you are legit you have nothing to lose.

I know of one lady selling books and she used FBA and sent her inventory to Amazon. She had over 15,000 books with them. She was suspended for misdescribing the condition of the books. Amazon told her she would have to pay to have her inventory returned. She couldn't afford it.
My point is, FBA is not without some risks. Also, make sure you understand the fees. FBA is not WILDLY expensive, but it DOES have a cost.

Jeff, Sorry but you have to pay for the return fees once the goods have been returned, so get them returned, remove the CC if there is a limit and make sure the bank account is empty. Its called playing the games that amazon plays on us. You got the stock back free. Also if you misdescribe something then thats her fault surely.

15000 books is a lot
the lady must have been really confident to send that many at once.
i sell textbooks and 15000 textbooks would mean 1.5 mil minimum in sales.lol

Re: Do you still do FBA inventory with risk of suspension?
FBA seems like a risk, especially in certain categories.
In certain categories, you need photographic proof of the item next to the buyers details in order to protect yourself from fraud.
Dozens of fraudulent buyers have attempted fraud on our products each and every month with various reasons consisting of total lies. The "buyer" usually goes away quietly once presented with evidence. We have a 99% success rate of stopping this fraud using this method and advanced extra methods like video, etc...
I think this would be impossible using FBA and we would be scammed day in day out...
Fraud levels on Amz are very high and it is getting worse.

this is very true.Just last week a buyer claimed they didnt recieve the item when the tracking shows delivery and signature proof shows buyer's own signature and tracking mentions buyer's name as the person who signed it
yet buyer keeps arguing and finally files a claim.the a to z went in my favour but it says you were not held responsible for the claim and amazon refunded the buyer.now the same buyer ordered the solution manual for the book from another account of mine.seems like theyre going to have the same tactic of getting away with free item either on my expense or amazon's
Re: Do you still do FBA inventory with risk of suspension?
Can amazon figure out the address he's shipping his inventory from? If he has a business address but ships the inventory from his house? Can they figure that out?
Re: Do you still do FBA inventory with risk of suspension?
If they pull up the tracking number it will show the city and state of the first scan. If you are doing multiple FBA accounts, it's a good idea to have different drop off points. If you are running 5 stealth accounts and drop everything off at one location and they are all scanned at the exact time then this would be easy fr them to link if they look.

This may or may not be true. If 5 companies used a local courier to pick up and drop off the shipments, it would look similar.
The reason I bring this up is more for cross border shipping. We know of a few companies that will pick up your items in Southern Ontario, and drop them off at a UPS store in NY.
