New Account Under Review and Selling Priviledge Removed at the Same Time
 
Hi everyone,

I opened up a new stealth account. Right when it was opened, I got an Amazon message say it is currently under review. The message is as follows:

"Dear Seller,

Thank you for your interest in selling on Amazon.com. Your request is currently under review. We will send you an email message once our review is complete. There is no need to appeal this action.

We appreciate your cooperation and thank you for selling on Amazon.com.

Regards,

Seller Performance Team
Amazon.com
http://www.amazon.com"

However, at the same time, a have an alert on the seller central frontpage saying that they have suspended my account. I did not get any message or email saying this however, only the "under review" one at the top.

Does anyone have any similar experience? Is my account already dead or is it possible that it would pass the review and allow me to sell? If so, how long would the review take?

Can you tell us the steps you used to create this stealth account.. Because it definitely sounds like you were linked.

I used a new PC, IP, phone number, card, email, all new credentials.

Been a lot of these in the past weeks. The user Gamefreak made the observation that
amazon is doing its usual trimming in preparation for the holidays.

That said, may I ask a few questions more,please.

What address? In or near any other suspended account.

IP vastly different from any you may have used before?

What card did you use?

Were the listed items totally different to others on previous accounts?

Let's hope we can get to the bottom of your issue.

In the past I opened account with no problems (until March this year).

In May everytime I create accounts they ask a lot before the account has selling priviledge reinstated, the latest messages:

Hello from Amazon.

It is standard procedure for Amazon to review new selling accounts. Your account is currently under review.

The following information will be needed for our review and it may take up to 10 days after the information is received for us to complete our review.

1. Current retail or online sales channels including links to selling pages. (If applicable)
2. Your business name and a detailed explanation of your business including your source(s) of inventory.
3. If you intend to sell internationally recognized branded products – please submit proof of authenticity or distribution authorization. (If applicable)
4. If you intend to sell products that have a safety component, including any toys or electrical devices – please submit any relevant safety testing certification that you may have (e.g., Underwriter
Laboratories, CE Marking, etc.). (If applicable)
5. Please list the products that you plan to offer on your account.

Please e-mail us at --- to provide us with the above information regarding your seller account.

We will evaluate the information that you provide to us and will respond accordingly. You will be notified via e-mail when our account review is complete.

It's a personal account this time. But both personal and business account has the same problem, at least in HK and China.

I've made personal & business accounts previously with no problems.

Nearly all accounts have to undergo this review before any selling privilege.

Report back with the message seen after 24 hours...if no change, you are likely linked.

I used a US Skype number.

I used an AVS card provided from an authorized seller here on Aspkin.

The address is a new one never used on Amazon. The IP is from a new VPS.

@ op you need to reply to the email you received from Amazon stating the account is on review.

If you received no message to your personal email stating that you are blocked then this could be an error message.

Happened to me previously. They sometimes error on the caution of side to protect their customers.

As I understand. This is just one type of the review. I got it in the pass. With this type of review you can't list anything, you can sale anything and you have a notification in your seller page as suspended.

Just let the account sleep for 28 days and it should be OK

Yes as TonyAlmeida says its under review and they have put the alert for suspension to temporarily suspend you from selling.

In the meantime chase up feedbacks.

When I opened my stealth Amazon account, I sold paperback books from around for the house for a penny plus shipping, got feedback, and waited 2 months before listing anything else. Worked great.

As previously stated i find if you open multiple accounts in one go and let them sit for while when you come back to use them they are more likely to pass a review.

I think this is because of the longevity of the accounts rather than a newbie.

The only downside is this new identity malarkey has put a spanner in the works!

it's because scammers started creating new accounts on Amazon a while back and listing big ticket items they did not have, then taking the money and running.

I know, because I reported tons of these scammers when I noticed them while shopping for a particular camera I wanted.

Then Amazon started doing this rolling reserve thing, then they got even stricter. As usual, a couple scammers make it harder for everyone else.
