Selling on European Amazon

Hey Guys,

I live in Canada and am Canadian. I want to know is it possible for me to sell on European Amazon?

Re: Selling on European Amazon

Off course you can, just go to amazon.co.uk and sign up.

...and while you are doing it... why don't you change your country flag to match your country and place of operation?
This would be for your benefit in getting accurate answers to your queries from forum members. We need to know where you are based.

No you don't, you need a passport and maybe proof of address. A Canadaian passport will be fine.

Most people have a passport or driving licence

but he is from Canada, doesn't he need a European passport to sell on the European Marketplace?

Re: Selling on European Amazon

Or you have to be a company with a warehouse in Europe, there are Americans etc. selling on Amazon UK (''ships from United States'') but they're large companies and also active on Amazon US etc.

Not sure if you can open a selling account on EU marketplace as an individual non-EU citizen (because of the new regulations).

Thank you guys for all the info.

To open an account on amazon.co.uk you need a EU passport ( i tried it) but i thought if i had an account on amazon.ca i wouldn't need to create another on amazon.co.uk but would still be able to sell in European marketplace.

@ilcarletto - At the moment I am in UK. But will be moving back to Canada in a month. I will change my info then :)

Instead of listening to peoples comments which most are false, just log onto amazon.co.uk and all the CORRECT information is there. If you have an account in Ca it makes no difference or helps to open a UK account. Remember you need a new e mail address.

Re: Selling on European Amazon

I can get a new email ID and what not. I even have a bank account in UK too. Address and bills on my name. but I am not a UK citizen and don't have European passport.

My wife is british and shes had amazon.co.uk account which was linked to a bad account (her brothers) and was banned so that is no use to me.

I am guessing there is no other way for me to sell on European market.

What i don't understand is that some one who is a permanent resident in European countries, how come they aren't allowed to sell on amazon.co.uk? They usually have work permits, bank accounts and permanent address in UK

Amazon.co.uk Help: Countries Accepted for Seller Registration

There is this link i found. If i understand it correct, i think Canadians are able to sell on amazon.co.uk

Not sure how it would work. I will contact amazon once i go back to Canada and figure it out as to how i would be able to do that.

Hey Micky

i tried opening an account on amazon.co.uk. I had given them my UK address. They were asknig for my UK passport or EU passport. I didn't have option to submit my canadian passport number.

I am guessing may be its cause i had given them UK address. I will try giving them my Canadian address and see if the option pops up for ca passport info.

And i did leave school. should have stuck around to finish it though lol

@al.malik, when you post up links for Amazon (or any selling platforms), make sure you add "Warning Amazon link" so that people dont accidentally click it

The option is passport number, they DONT ask the nationality of the passport. Sorry but have you gone through the set up process or are you just assuming.....Beggars belief......
