Yes. Amazon will refund the buyer and will then debit your bank account if there are no funds in your seller account. It is what you agreed to when you signed up.

They certainly can, they will try the CC on file then try your bank for the funds. This is why I always say never leave money in your disbursement account.

That is also a reason to move money shortly after it is disbursed. It should be withdrawn or moved into an account that ill not be debited by anyone. If you have a bank account that was burned awhile ago, you might be able to use it for this. It would be safer to use a "virgin" account that has never been shared with eBay/PayPal/Amazon, but that might be overkill.

Also, you want to make sure that you OPT OUT of any automatic overdraft protection and make sure the bank will reject any charges if there is not enough money in the account. Otherwise, your bank will pay the request and come after YOU for the money. At many banks, you are automatically OPTED-IN for overdraft protection since it generates a lot of fees for the bank. So you need to check and most likely you will have to specifically opt-out.

Can be done following a try to your CC. Any reason why you are concerned?

If you get a pre paid debit card they don't allow withdrawls from merchants only deposits.
I always transfer money out of the act. and leave no money so for sure they can't take anything.

They will also try to charge your debit card to recover the funds.Use a pre paid gift card to verify. don't let them get their grubby paws on your money.
