FBA return for 5 laptops, not even delivered yet!
 

so I wanted to test FBA on laptops and high risk items. These are cheap-o laptops and figured this was the item to do it.

I just got a return notice for all 5 laptops on the same order. The fishy thing is the item has not been delivered yet. I was charged a return fee. Amazon charges the buyer a return fee if the item is marked as no longer needed or not wanted/customer return. So this order was marked as defective/wrong item or something to charge the seller.

I know this is part of business and I've opened a case with Amazon about the return fee and the item has not been delivered yet.

I was thinking of emailing the buyer and asking for the return reason? and also to kindly remember that a 20% restocking fee applies to opened laptops and we keep track of all serial numbers blah blah blah and will contact local law enforcement if serial numbers do not work?

I have done this a few times on ebay when buyers claim they received a different item and every single time they go dark after I mention if serial numbers dont match I'll contact law enforcement with my invoices as proof.

Im just worried how Amazon would handle this???

i dont think amazon even cares about $10000 laptops for local law.... its just in papers

I'm not sure what Amazon would do, but I don't see them approving of emailing a customer and talking about keeping track of serial numbers for law enforcement. Basically, it is like accusing the buyer of a crime when you have not even seen the return yet. I would wait to see exactly what happens. It could just be someone ordered and then found them cheaper elsewhere. Yes, it sucks, but it happens.

Its good to mention that you have tracked the serial # though. There are a lot of shady people out there.

Are you talking about a restocking fee? You get this back? How did you set this up?

I charge restocking fee n seller fulfilled but have never got any money back from returned FBA
