UPC already attached to ASIN but wrong information

Hello,
I have a question on the existing product page that not created by me but I want to sale that product.

The real UPC of the product already attach to an ASIN that was created by some one else but the description is all wrong. What should I do in this case?

- Create a new ASIN using eBay's UPC?
- Contact Seller Support to report an incorrect information?

Why don't you get a new UPC and create your own listing?

Anyway just to let you know, if you ask seller support to change things they might ask you to prove that the information you give is correct by giving them a link to the webpage of the product to verify. This did happen even to my own product which I did list and supply my upc. They did ask me for the link to the page.

This is in the first question I asked :)

Also, if I do this the UPC of the actual product will be different with the new list I created.

with the upc you should be able to edit a seller created listing, no?

yes you should be able to edit it again, still they might ask you to provide prove by giving them a link to the product website to verify. Mostly I can edit my listings without but once in a while they ask.

@Tony, don't take the risk to list your item in a listing with wrong description, buyers could complain that the item is not as described.
