Thanks

Re: Amazon Europe

If it works out profitably for you then yes it would be worth selling to Europe.

Totally down to how profitable it works out for you though. No one can answer that for you :)

Read earlier posts, Europe is a lot different, you will need to produce a passport or driving licence at some stage as well as a utility bill.

Then how are the UK posters able to run stealth accounts?

Re: Amazon Europe

You cannot run a true stealth account in the UK, simple as that. You need a passport or driving licence. The utility bill can be created with imagination. Amazon will ask for scan copies of the above. But to be honest, nothing is really stealth as the money always goes to a real bank account.

Re: Amazon Europe

Does the Amazon name and the real name on the bank account in Europe have to match?

JamesNorth101 07-14-2015 12:59 PM

Re: Amazon Europe

No they dont.

Some banks do have an issue with mismatching names though

In the UK you only need sort code and account number for a deposit, name does not matter WITH ANY BANK IN THE UK. Payments are made via the BACS system. One UK bank will be sufficient to disburse from De,FR,ES and IT. However if your bank is outside the UK within an EU territory I understand the banking is a lot different. However you can use your US bank for UK disbursements.

NO UK BANK HAS AN ISSUE WITH MISMATCHED NAMES FOR AMAZON DISBURSEMENTS as all payments are via BACS. BACS does not use names, only sort code and account number with the payment transmissions. Please don't give false information.

Re: Amazon Europe

I would be interested in seeing your source that catalytically states that banks (and other institutions) using BACS do not share the intended recipients name when making a transfers

Taking The Micky 07-14-2015 07:30 PM

Re: Amazon Europe

Firstly anybody who knows anything about the UK banking system understands hows BACS works. Use Google James, I am not here to prove I am correct, you prove me incorrect. Please let me know the institutions that YOU say don't accept mismatched names with a BACS payment from amazon. I look forward to your reply, but I will not hold my breath.

Re: Amazon Europe

During bacs transfer i can use whatever name i want as a reference to me. I dont have to put a name for the recipient bank.

Maybe its for cheque perhaps u need the correct name? Of course right. For bacs, as a normal person it was never a requirement for me to use a name. Only sort code and account number.

Re: Amazon Europe

Specifically, can you have a different amazon name and real name for German bank accounts?

Name, Sort Code and Account number are needed for BACS, CHAPS and FPS transfer as far as I am aware that is the way it has always been. It has been a long time since I have needed to use the BACS method though so its not impossible that that has changed.

An example of a bank that allows a transfer without putting in a recipient name would be pretty great and then I can happily hold my hands up and say 'yes your right on that one' and be glad that I learned something new :thumb: That is what we are all here for after all

Banks having an issue with mismatching name deposits has nothing to do with if the payment is coming from Amazon, PayPal, another person ect. Some banks simply do not like deposits coming into the bank with a name different to that of the account holder.

Mycashplus is nutritious for this. I know this because I have used Mycashplus on a Ghost accounts and a Stealth PayPal account and both times I have funds sent from the Ghost and Stealth account I got a hold on the funds going into the Mycashplus account asking why the name did not match :thumb:

Re: Amazon Europe

James, mycashplus is a prepaid credit card which you can top up, NOT a bank account. Most credit cards if paid by BACS need the credit card number as a reference.
Yes to complete a BACS payment, wether creating it yourself with online banking or one being sent to you require as you say, name, sort code and account number. However the bank to bank transmission of this info only contains sort code and account number. The reason is so no anomalies can be entered in the data like @,*,! etc which would corrupt the file.

Re: Amazon Europe

The point is the they can be used as a bank account in the same manner as a bank account from from say HSBC/Halifax ect can be used.

Onecardbanking is another example of a non starter.

These do have account numbers and sort codes and for a number of people they will be the go option since no credit check is involved when opening the account

These institutions do have issues with deposits coming in under a different name and it is important to point this out

Re: Amazon Europe

James, from the best of my knowledge a bank account has a sort code and account number. If it has neither then its not classed a bank account but some alternative for people with low credit scores.
They work on the basis of a debit card, not a bank account. To send funds to these cards I would assume you have an account number and sort code of the provider and you have to enter the card number for the reference so the money credits your card. A bit like paying a standard credit card online.
Trust this clarifies the point.

JamesNorth101 07-15-2015 10:28 AM

Re: Amazon Europe

In which case you would class these as bank accounts since they do have both an account number and a sort code which is unique to the card :thumb: Onecardbanking advertise their account as a current account and it does pretty much everything a current account can do (direct debits, standing orders ect)

To transfer funds to these accounts you would need the sort code, the account numbers and the name. No special reference is required.

If the name of the incoming deposit does not match the name of the account holder these accounts do run into issues reglardless of who the funds are coming from (Amazon, PayPal, anyone else ect)

Re: Amazon Europe

Well of course people will have problems paying money into the account.
From there website

Pay in at a bank or Post Office branch

We've teamed up with a leading high street bank to allow you to pay in cash and cheques at any of their branches. All you have to do is take your cash and cheques to your nearest Barclays branch and pay in using your pre-printed GIRO.

You can also pay in cash at any branch of the Post Office using your own personal barcode. Simply download and print your barcode, take your cash and your barcode to any Post Office branch and pay your money in over the counter. Unfortunately, you are unable to pay in cheques using the facility at the Post Office. Cash paid into your account via Post Office branches will be credited to your billing account within 2 working days; please see terms & conditions for charges associated with this service.

James this is not a bank, its a service provider.

JamesNorth101 07-15-2015 11:16 AM

Re: Amazon Europe

I think you may be missing the point

This can be added to Amazon and a withdraw can be initiated

If the name on the Amazon account matches the name on the bank account (onecardbanking or Mycashplus) the withdraw does in fact go through

If the name does not match then it will be flagged the the funds will not hit the account

By your definition it has been established that if the sort code and the account number is unique then we can call it a bank account. These accounts do fall into this category and therefore it is very important for people to be made aware that there is an issue with mismatching name withdrawals which was the question in hand.

Re: Amazon Europe

OK James I have better things to do than this today. This is a service provider and uses Barclays Bank as its clearing house. Maybe you can send me a PM and I will send £1.00 to you to see if you are correct.
