But your friend is right, they CAN work with Amazon. I prefer Linux over Windows for Amazon, but Windows can work. With Linux you don't connect through RDP, you connect with something like VNC Viewer. The Windows VPS issue is that most providers use something like Windows Server 2008 which is not commonly used by most people. Windows VPS's will have a higher death rate with Amazon than Linux VPS's.
I have never been a big fan of using VPN's for Amazon. I have had some people tell me it works just fine, but that has NOT been my experience. Of course, it COULD be that their setups were different from mine. |
