Giving out ur number to customers thru Amazon messages

I have a customer who is nagging me consistently about how to set up a item I sold her.
Is it possible to give them my number thru the Amazon messages and tell them to call me.

Does Amazon allow this.
or is this a bad move that may flag me.

You can do this, but why? You have no record of the conversation this way.

I don't think Amazon would allow that. Of course you can try but if Amazon finds out or there is a dispute, you can never win and you might receive a Policy Warning about communication outside Amazon system.

As I remember there should be contact number in order detail, you can try to obtain the customer number and contact him/her as you wish. I usually messages customers this way, of course sometimes they just type random numbers

Amazon allows and slightly encourages you to OFFER a customer service phone # on your seller profile.

Of course, NO ONE on Amazon ever looks at sellers profiles....but they do allow it.

So to answer your question, providing a phone # is fine. Just don't try to subvert sales off or Amazon, or provide an email address....THAT will piss them off.

And I completely understand why you want to provide your #. Way easier to explain things, gets the annoying customer to leave you alone, and avoids negative feedback and A-to-Z claims. The better service you can provide on Amazon, the longer your account will last.

My advice, would be get there number which should be available on the actual order and call them withholding your number. Then you won't get a customer calling you all the time.
