Banned from postage label

New finding * got banned from amazon from postage label.

Amazon automatically updated my return address to old banned address. They acquired this from a prepaid postage label I messaged customer via pdf attachment .
Please be careful. Costs us our account ! not impressed.

Be thankful they didn't ban the entire account.

Yes, be careful. from now one if customer wishes to return, rather than giving them a paid postage returns label, Just get collection from door by courier(even though more expensive )

ohhh....

THIS is an interesting idea.

The question at stake here is whether Amazon manually reads the info or if a bot checks it.

I wouldn't test it personally though. Amazon accounts are too valuable.

Dare I ask why old banned info got used?

It backfires too often with amazon.

I believe OP assumed Amazon wouldn't check the return address on labels, since it's an image, not regular text.

Obviously he was incorrect, but at least we know now.

It was the way the parcelforce account of our business has been set up, return address is business premises address. It displays on postage label . Did not think too much about a pdf file

Re: Banned from postage label

regarding suggestion above: password protect pdf file.
it will be possible but to give the password to the customer you will be giving the password to amazon too.
I have also been thinking could it be bot scanned or amazon rep themselves. Account was going for 2 months .

Why would Amazon automatically update the return address just because they read it from a pdf? Does not make sense to me.
