| james929 | 12-05-2015 01:24 PM | Serious Amazon Selling Account Issue Hi Guys,
I'm currently having a serious issue on Amazon.
I have an account where I can't seem to log into it: when I try and log in it says the below: There was a problem with your request
There was an error with your E-Mail/Password combination. Please try again.
Its not a browser or cache issue. I have tried a different browser too and deleted the history. I phoned up support and they said the account is on hold due to 'some billing issue' - no idea what they are on about but they said an account specialist will get back to me within 24 hours.
From reading online I fear the account has been closed unfairly. All our metrics are perfect and it just doesn't make sense. I have 100% positive feedback -ODR is under threshold etc
It can't be a linking issue either because I currently don't have any other accounts and never have needed too at the moment. I have never been banned before and this is my first and only account too.
The only issue I can think of is that a lot of orders have reached customers late recently due to xmas etc so they might think we havent sent the orders out.
I have over £25,000 stuck in the account and am extremely worried - have no idea what to do.
I have emailed seller performance UK and the MD office..
any help would be much appreciated..I fear legal action would be costly. I havent received any emails from Amz about what is going on either.. |
| Kristy | 12-05-2015 01:48 PM | Re: Serious Amazon Selling Account Issue If this is your legit account and not stealth then legal action will be necessary if Amazon is not behind over to assist you with the matter.
X mas is the best and worst time for stealth Amazon sellers. |

X mas is the best and worst time for stealth Amazon sellers. | thanks for letting me know. ye its my first and only account with real details of myself and company.
I am currently looking into legal options now - I find Amazon's behaviour disgraceful and no-one is safe selling.
I was looking previously into how to create a stealth account as I have read similar nightmare stories online but I just can't believe this has happened. |
| oompaloompa | 12-05-2015 02:10 PM | Re: Serious Amazon Selling Account Issue the late orders, this seems unlikely to have caused this, unless it is severe or you are a repeat offender who has been under review for it before.....
you are right, it is disgraceful - it is theft, stealth account or not.... |

you are right, it is disgraceful - it is theft, stealth account or not.... | thanks for replying - the orders were all marked as dispatched on time - its just one package was apparently left at the courier depot by mistake for a few days which caused a number of customers to receive their items late but most have arrived now
Is is possible the account was blocked or on hold because I reset the password 3 times because i couldn't login or is it likely the account has been closed?
Does anyone have a contact at amazon or an account manager - I would be really grateful! |
| oompaloompa | 12-05-2015 02:17 PM | Re: Serious Amazon Selling Account Issue exactly, from what you have described, my sense tells me there is another reason for this...blocked login, possibility....
there are some real az experts in this section that should be along within the next few days and see the thread, so you will get some more advice there, stay with us..... |
| Shadowmoe7 | 12-05-2015 02:17 PM | Re: Serious Amazon Selling Account Issue bad news its gone
prob banned/deleted for good
you can email them but i have had no luck |

I have done nothing wrong.
I reset the password 3 times because I couldn't login so there could be a 5% chance the account is locked out due to them thinking it may have been hacked but I dont know if its that issue or if the account was closed before this.
Cant believe this has happened with over £25k in the account - its pure theft!! |
| oompaloompa | 12-05-2015 02:29 PM | Re: Serious Amazon Selling Account Issue so the reason you did the password resets was because you could not login? ok in that case the login probably had already been blocked. What I thought you meant is you forgot your own password and then did the resets and they thought it was a hack....
the billing issue - you cannot think of what that could be about?
have you used another persons computer or logged in at a public place? maybe you were linked to someone else unwittingly.... |
| Lucifer | 12-05-2015 02:32 PM | Re: Serious Amazon Selling Account Issue have you tried in different browser? |

There is no billing issue and I've read elsewhere thats what the customer support say and someone had their account closed with this 'set line'
I've only logged in on my computer on my private home wifi - it all seems extremely odd - there are no other accounts in my house 100% |

complaints or reports that you know of.
most people on here who have had account closure, whether eb or az, know the reason...
you might be a rare one that has not got a clue....
anyway, wait for more replies they will be forthcoming.... |

anyway, wait for more replies they will be forthcoming.... | ye all the products are legit ones like books and games like ps4, wii etc. I was only selling 300 products too but getting large amount of sales.
No complaints have been received (other than the late delivery ones)
and no rights owner issues too as anyone can sell books and games.
The account was going through verification (as all UK accounts seem to be ) but as mentioned all the details were real and my own ones. I could log in during verification though. |
| Taking The Micky | 12-05-2015 06:37 PM | Re: Serious Amazon Selling Account Issue Ok, James, firstly its bad news. Your account has been deleted, meaning your chance of you getting your funds is extremely unlikely.
Legal action is not an option unless you have several million in the bank, litigation has to be started in Luxembourg which cost you at least £10k just to issue proceedings.
Usual reason's for deletion are fraud and counterfeit.
I would suspect that a rights holder has made a complaint about one of your products. You will not know about this.
The only thing you can do is send a polite e mail to managingdirector@amazon.co.uk, not threatening what you are going to do and how amazon are a bunch of thieves. |
Re: Serious Amazon Selling Account Issue As micky said, account has been deleted. but you can still get your funds after 90 days. email the jeff@amazon.com. it can e sorted out.
the chance of getting your account back is remote, but quiet likely to get your funds back. |
| user3657 | 12-06-2015 01:42 AM | Re: Serious Amazon Selling Account Issue Have you heard anything back? It seems strange that they delete a legit account unless it was linked to another account. |

Look closely at the origin of the PS4 games. Enough to attract Rights Owners. What was their origin?
If the verification had any flaws, amazon would pull the plug. Is there anything there that might have caused problems? Addresses, names, family who used amazon and are banned , anything?
If amazon get enough info they zap accounts without explanation.
Sorry about this news.

| GreenBean | 12-06-2015 04:45 AM | Re: Serious Amazon Selling Account Issue Another thought..... What address was filed for this amazon account? AND http://www.aspkin.com/forums/amazon-...ing-issue.html
What does the above mean in relation to claiming to have only one account?
Fair go. You got linked more than likely. Read Post 7 in the above quoted thread, you stated you used a variation of your own real name.
oh man..... Bad error and that caused the grief.

Definitely not linked to any other account as this is the only one -im very careful with the wifi - its password protected and no-one else could have used any account. |

Hey - in the end what happened was they requested a certified bank letter. I submitted it and it got accepted - continued selling for a week with no problem.
A week later the verification team suspended my listings and requested the bank letter again. I could still log into the account with no problems.
The previous thread that I wrote was not correct. I was thoroughly looking into creating a stealth account but never actually needed too.
What happened was my main account (this one) was suspended due to late cancellation rate months ago. I appealed and heard nothing back. However eventually the MD's office got back to me and re-enabled the account so I never needed to create a new account.
All info was correct. I didn't have to use a variation of my name - its was in the company name in any case and all info was real and correct.. |

Sorry about this news.
:peace: | Im 100% sure all the games were without right holder claims - there were numerous other sellers selling these and I've been selling them on the account for over a year without a problem.
I'm 100% sure no-one else used amazon in my family so its DEFINITELY not a linking issue.
As mentioned this was my main and only account ive been using. I never needed to create another account before this even though I was looking into doing so because I knew no-one is safe on Amz. |

No email has still been received from Amz. No items were ever counterfeit or fraud. Most of the games were from nintendo and small value items.
I have a feeling its go something to do with verification but all info was submitted with real info. I've been selling for over a yea though and the account was just going through re-verification.
I will look into legal options if no email from them is replied too. Can't afford to just lose 25K.. |

| GreenBean | 12-06-2015 05:20 AM | Re: Serious Amazon Selling Account Issue OK
Read the info.
Your account got restored but was in a way still flagged by amazon.
Soon as there were murmurs from buyers, they pulled the account again.
They do that if they do not think you are squeaky clean.

I was being hypothetical - because I had thoroughly read the ghost guide in preparation for a new account and came across the ID issue but I'm telling you that this account was the only one I had - because they unsupsended the account I never needed to open a new one - see below the unsuspension email I received from the MD office on the account after we spoke on the phone - this was in August.
Dear Mr X,
Thank you for taking my call this afternoon.
At this time your account still remains under review. As soon as the reviews have been completed I will be in contact with you again to inform you of the status of your account.
We appreciate your patience in the interim.

:peace: | you could be right - but all issues on the account were sorted with the cancellation rate beforehand. I have had no issues since. Feedback is 100%. ODR below 1% - just some customers receiving orders late which they have now received.
I think it may have been a verification mistake.
I submitted the bank certified letter which was approved. A week later they requested it again and I submitted it again (this was last week).
Again this letter was real with real info.
I was blocked out of the account on Sat morning too -so it would seem a bot did this because I know the verification and performance team don't work on weekends in the UK.. |
| james929 | 12-06-2015 05:32 AM | Re: Serious Amazon Selling Account Issue ok I have just checked- it seems I can log into my buyer account now and the Amazon forums
Still no access to the seller account though.. |

They were all well known titles too with numerous other sellers selling.
I previously sold thousands of items but recently cut it down to 300 to keep up with demand due to health problems. |

When I try to log in to the seller account now - it doesn't say the below:
There was a problem with your request
There was an error with your E-Mail/Password combination. Please try again.
It just loops back and refreshes the page when I input the correct details like its being blocked from logging in but no message appears. |
| Taking The Micky | 12-06-2015 06:58 AM | Re: Serious Amazon Selling Account Issue James as said earlier, amazon delete accounts if they suspect fraud or complaints from a rights holder. If a customer complains usually the ASIN is blocked or possibly suspension, but never deletion.
I suspect there is more to this story than actually being told. All items sold someone owns the copyright and they are out to protect there property.
And please don't kid yourself regarding litigation against amazon. |

and if an account is closed does this mean buyers can't email me anymore e.g about where their item is? |
| Taking The Micky | 12-06-2015 07:05 AM | Re: Serious Amazon Selling Account Issue If you cannot log into your account you have access to nothing, you are DELETED.
My advice as said earlier contact managingdirector@amazon.co.uk with you story without any emotion.
Consider the account and money gone and if you do get your funds consider it a bonus.
Start a stealth account, sell very slow and different products and by March you should have an account to start with some serious sales for the Easter market. |

I have emailed the MD's office and waiting for a reply.
I can't afford to lose that amount of money though - especially as (as far as I'm concerned) nothing has been done wrong so will have to look at legal options.
This money is not profit at the end of the day - having invested in stock so I'm going to do all I can to get it back.
The fact that no email has been received from Amz and I have done nothing wrong is worrying - just goes to show it can happen to anyone. |
| Ebayorbust | 12-06-2015 07:21 AM | Re: Serious Amazon Selling Account Issue Were the PS4 games actual discs in boxes or digital downloads?
The latter causes loads of account suspensions as they are basically illegal. |
