Is there a way to check if a debit card with a stealth address works for AVS before adding it to Amazon?

which sites go through avs to do a test / sample purchase?

Avs matches the numeric part of the addres with the zip code, as long as it's a real address in that zip code it should pass.

ye I know what avs is but I want to check my debit card works using the stealth address or should I just wait 48 hours to test it out?

Most retailers today use AVS as a standard meaning checking out with anyone would require the card to pass the AVS verification.
Heres a suggestion - if youre not using the card with paypal or ebay you can buy a cheap dollar item (coupon or whatever) on ebay with a new account you open specifically for testing purposes and do a guest checkout which will allow you to use your debit card for payment. Of course if you intend to use this debit card in the future with ebay or paypal this is not a good method.

the problem with that is that the debit card may still work even if I put a different billing or shipping address..whereas on amazon it might not work

Just make sure both addresses match or you can buy an Amazon vcc here from one of the sellers.

I can see where the OP is coming from...always better i think to be on the safe side because if cards are rejected sometimes they cause accounts into review mode...i think thats an excellent question

I know what you are asking op, and im not sure off the top of my hat but I can say in the past paying my ebay bills eBay did not do an AVS check, but recently in the past 12+ months they have and charges will no longer go through if avs does not match.

If you find something please share.
