Princejames1 | 01-18-2016 09:14 AM | Anyone got a notification of legal action from Amazon? Got a few closed UK accounts which have accrued storage fees for stock that I cant get out of FBA. It sure starts to add up when you have a few thousand units in a few accounts. I have tried repeatedly with multiple emails to get the stock back but I dont get a response to my emails. Even tried the MD.
I have now received notification of legal action to reclaim the negative balances on the amazon accounts, anyone else experienced notification of legal action from Amazon or similar?
Thanks |
bartalion | 01-18-2016 09:17 AM | Re: Anyone got a notification of legal action from Amazon? Have you tried emailing Jeff ? |
Princejames1 | 01-18-2016 09:18 AM | Re: Anyone got a notification of legal action from Amazon? Yes even tried Jeff!
Thanks |
Taking The Micky | 01-18-2016 10:44 AM | Re: Anyone got a notification of legal action from Amazon? Are the account deleted or suspended? |
Princejames1 | 01-18-2016 11:29 AM | Re: Anyone got a notification of legal action from Amazon? I cant get access to any of them which I think means deleted. If they were suspended I think you can still get in to put a removal through.
Thanks |
zane786 | 01-18-2016 11:47 AM | Re: Anyone got a notification of legal action from Amazon? same thing thats happened to me i had loads of stock in the amazon fba i cannt even access the account to check how much stock and how much they owe me

Thanks | Yes, sounds like account is deleted.
Your stock is basically lost. If amazon delete an account these days its usually down to fraud which includes counterfeit goods etc.
They can do this legally as its in the T&C you agreed to.
Sorry |
JamesNorth101 | 01-18-2016 02:11 PM | Re: Anyone got a notification of legal action from Amazon? The stock is gone for.
These items you were selling. Are you 100% sure of their origin and authenticity? |
zane786 | 01-18-2016 02:11 PM | Re: Anyone got a notification of legal action from Amazon? yes i buy from a uk wholeseller |

Your onus as a seller was to check authenticity yourself and not take the word of any other party.
Sorry.
:pout: |

A lot of people have had their accounts deleted because they were selling questions items. If you cannot prove 100% that your items are totally above board then your really fighting a loosing battle |
Princejames1 | 01-19-2016 06:31 AM | Re: Anyone got a notification of legal action from Amazon? You do have to wonder if the terms and conditions would really stand up in a court of law?
If you got that far down the line, wouldnt Amazon have to provide evidence that the items were counterfeit (by contacting the manufacturer or supplier?), because they took the action to hold them and close the account.
I think they just use customer feedback and if they have any questions over authenticity close the account. |
JamesNorth101 | 01-19-2016 06:34 AM | Re: Anyone got a notification of legal action from Amazon? With Amazon you never get to the point where you can find out
They will send information request after request and tie you up in legalities for months / years
It would be down to you to prove the items are real, not Amazon to prove the are not real. |
perfect30 | 01-19-2016 06:45 AM | Re: Anyone got a notification of legal action from Amazon? This is like the opposite world. Shouldn't Amazon provide proof to you first to support their claim that you are selling false goods? This way they can go around making such claims based on nothing at all. |
JamesNorth101 | 01-19-2016 06:49 AM | Re: Anyone got a notification of legal action from Amazon? You really need to be making sure the items you sell are 100% authentic before you sell them anyway, so provide this proof would not really be an issue
If you want to not do that research to make sure items are 100% above board then you risk getting your account deleted |

People don't seem to understand in the UK theres the small claims court that costs like £20 to sort things like this, its not the US where you need a expensive 'attorney'.
T&C's mean nothing, exactly why royal mail never reply to any small claims regarding them only refunding the purchase cost of the item when they lose them rather than the sales price |

Awwww! That is so cute!
I still remember fondly my days of innocence. |
Princejames1 | 01-19-2016 08:05 AM | Re: Anyone got a notification of legal action from Amazon? Now this might sound like an American legal drama, but what about a class action suit?
I wonder how many sellers have suffered from this? I am guessing in the hundreds, I guess the only issue is with the stealth accounts and sellers are not generally too happy to expose genuine details |

Its just not going to happen |

They haven't as you have file any action in their jurisdiction which is Luxembourg. You can file a claim and it will get thrown out. Simple |

Quoting ebay is not scoring brownie points | Well they're both huge companies based in Luxembourg, if you can take one to the smalls claims court then you can take the other. I would have a go at finding a amazon one but google is filled with them suing ⊗⊗⊗⊗ review sellers so too much effort |
