| Kelly441 | 01-20-2016 10:11 AM | Buyer wants a refund a year later A buyer is claiming that they have not received their item that was ordered a year ago.
I know the buyer has 90 days to file a claim, but I have heard that buyers have called Amazon and Amazon has filed claims for them well after the 90 days.
The weird thing is that the feedback says 'has not left you feedback for this order yet.'
Normally after 90 days it will say "buyer did not leave feedback" and they are unable to submit feedback past that point
Should I just refund the order? |

just concerned about an A to Z claim My ODR is fine so I guess I'll take my chances The other issue is that the tracking information is so old it wont show up anymore |
| Taking The Micky | 01-20-2016 12:10 PM | Re: Buyer wants a refund a year later They cannot claim and if they did you would win. Saying one year later I have not received the goods., the mind boggles. |
| JamesNorth101 | 01-20-2016 12:20 PM | Re: Buyer wants a refund a year later It would be interesting to see what they said as for why they did not think to mention the item not arrive say 11 months ago... Like most other people would |
| yankee | 01-20-2016 12:23 PM | Re: Buyer wants a refund a year later My guess is the person fell upon hard times and is desperate. Really good chance that they get banned if they attempt this across many sellers. |
| JamesNorth101 | 01-20-2016 12:25 PM | Re: Buyer wants a refund a year later Agreed. Either that or they broke their item recently and want the money to buy a new one without it costing them anything |
Re: Buyer wants a refund a year later So many possibilities on this buyer - don't play his/her loser game |
| rfloubo | 01-20-2016 03:23 PM | Re: Buyer wants a refund a year later It is heartwarming to read seasoned sellers trying to fluff down the buyer's intentions.
Maybe my cynicism is taking the better of me but you do realize there are websites out there fully devoted to scamming amazon? Some years ago they used to advise people to avoid small sellers and to aim at amazon itself but I hear those innocent times are now over.
To the OP: refund and you will end up in a suckers list. |
Re: Buyer wants a refund a year later Not only are there websites but guides to scamming EBay and Amazon sellers....these guides re actually good to read to stay ahead of these scumbags. |
| user3657 | 01-20-2016 05:56 PM | Re: Buyer wants a refund a year later The A-Z cant effect your because its past the time even if they did file. I think Amazon TOS policy states buyer has 14 days to report a missing package. |
| kowloonwolfpack | 01-20-2016 08:12 PM | Re: Buyer wants a refund a year later links to these websites? |
| cmbhuy | 01-20-2016 08:14 PM | Re: Buyer wants a refund a year later amazon will take the hit if you file a-z you'll be okay. |

| revenge | 01-21-2016 12:35 PM | Re: Buyer wants a refund a year later The latest time frame to file a claim that I seen is 180 by a few credit card company. If amazon let the buyer file a claim a year later then you're just a lab rat and your reaction may depend on the future claims in a few years from now. Politely refuse the claim, ask the buyer to deal with his bank instead. |
| rfloubo | 01-23-2016 08:12 AM | Re: Buyer wants a refund a year later Well Kelly, did you refund or what? |
Re: Buyer wants a refund a year later it's not always the case. amazon.fr refunded to buyer after nearly 2 years.
i made a complain to amazon, they just sent me a email which said this is policy.
amazon sometimes sucks. |

amazon sometimes sucks. | Not surprising. Everyone knows the French are spineless.
 :pound: |
| Burger Box Man | 01-24-2016 06:17 AM | Re: Buyer wants a refund a year later Haha 1 year later. |
Re: Buyer wants a refund a year later I've had a buyer claim they never received a item 6 months later and a Amazon rep opened a A-Z for them and they won, Since i only had delivery confirmation and not signature, refunded from my funds. Amazon can and will open A-Z outside of there own policy. It just depends if the buyer contacts a Amazon rep or not. |

I just ignored the email | The only downside is, now Amazon sends buyers an email about 3 days after the return request asking if their issue was resolved. (I know this as a buyer) |

| Kelly441 | 01-27-2016 11:11 AM | Re: Buyer wants a refund a year later And I have already closed the return selecting 'out of policy" |

| hulkman | 01-27-2016 11:20 PM | Re: Buyer wants a refund a year later I have had this happen about 3 times the last couple of months and I thought it was very strange too. Basically the same thing, they didnt receive, about a year later.
I think two of the buyers were buyers from south america that use the florida shipping agents.
They never replied after I told them it has been a year since their purchase and that the item had been delivered.
I have a weird feeling that they are reading some guides on how to do this and I feel like they probably try with all buyers, whoever falls for it, falls for it.
A bigger company/seller might be more inclined to just refund them anyways. |

Thats probably what these late claims are from, i received 2 myself asking for returns 14 months after the sale recently, saying the item was not working |

At around $35 bucks per chargeback, their little business would go belly up fast. |

Probably for the best. | search harder then, theres tons of forums and websites out there dedicated to scamming folk. Disgusts me and it actually puts me off wanting to sell on ebay/amazon due to these f*ckin* w*nk*rs stealing ££ from peoples pockets. Unnaceptable. |
