Default Standard Bank International Isle of Man mismatch

Anyone knows if disbursement from amazon uk or de would work well with standard bank isle of man? I am talking about complete mismatch from for example amazon business name "jewelrypro" to bank account name "robert wood"

If the bank has a sort code and account number you will be fine. This is a normal UK bank using the BACS payment system.

Is it a normal UK bank? The Isle of Man is neither a part of the United Kingdom or the EU.

Maybe but it uses the UK banking system and thats what the OP asked and all the islanders are UK citizens.

No, they are British citizens, not UK citizens. There is a difference.

Fact is anyway there must be better bank options for stealth than one you need £4,000 to open an account.

Not if you want to open a real bank account that would work well with amazon WITHOUT PHYSICAL PRESENCE...i looked and looked...nearly impossible to open a UK account online without having to go there to sign papers...standard bank seem to a be a few that seem to be able to do it...4000GBP is not cheap but better than the 25000GBP that Lloyds require for the same thing

Thanks mickie...i am waiting for my mismatch experiment with my euro bank first to finish and really hope it works but even if it does would be nice to have backups

I am correcting the wrong information in your answer, not the question.

I have already said that I.O.M isn't in the UK or EU, some of the reasons were even in your info you posted but obviously didn't read or understand.

I suggest you start there and educate yourself.

It seems you are getting no help.

Let me try......

Maybe try to put this sort code in pp 55-91-00

If pp accepts it, it should say what bank it is - if this happens, at least you know pp recognises that bank.

It wont harm your account trying this, as long as you don't go any further and input account numbers etc because the sort code may not be yours etc.

Just an idea that costs nothing to try......

....hope it works for you and also, I hope other members provide more useful info rather than that 'ping pong' business X

Obviously you do. So do it. Educate yourself boy.

Giving an answer to OP is NOT all that is required.....the answer has to be a correct one.

You didn't answer OP's question correctly at all. By claiming Standard bank I.O.M is a normal UK bank you fail.

SO educate yourself boy.

Stop being an idiot and responding with factually incorrect answers.

You may learn something.

What a brain dead fool you are.

Guess at an answer well played.

This 'ping pong' business as you call it is relevant to the question. If you do not understand why you need to keep out of it as you are just showing your ignorance and stupidity.

Wow where have you been all my life, another fool comes out of the shadows.

Firstly I am not a boy, and secondly you seem to be the idiot.

Standard Bank like all IOM banks use the UK banking system for BACS payments, i.e. Sort Code, Account Number. For TT, wire transfers they use the global SWIFT system. But amazon pay by BACS.
https://international.standardbank.c...nstruction.pdf
So mismatched names, I know this from experience work. Also Jersey and Guernsey use the same systems.

So please add a stupid comment.

France, Portugal and Spain use the Euro the same as Germany, doesn't make them German.

The fact is that Standard bank I.O.M is NOT 'a normal UK bank' as it is not part of the UK or EU.

It may or may not borrow and utilise a platform from the UK banking system, but it still is not a 'Normal UK bank' and never will be.

Shame you can't see your mistakes but I wouldn't expect anything less of you.

It uses the UK banking system, end of story.

Just carry on, you are making yourself look more of a fool.

No it is not the end of the story.

You said in your first post in this thread it is a normal UK bank.

IT IS NOT.

You were wrong, and that is the end of the story.
