Where did you read that? Even ONE inauthentic notice has the potential to DESTROY an account...
Thanks for your reply. You're right in that one may be enough, but I remember reading that established accounts may be able to withstand 4, though I may be mistaken.
In your opinion, how many buyer complaints does it take for amazon to give an inauthentic notice? I'm just interested in a ballpark number.
Thanks for your response. My question was in regard not to one item being blocked, but how many blocked items will result in account suspension.
Also, i'm interested to know how many buyer complaints will result in a blocked listing. I realize this may vary, but I thought someone may have a rough estimate from experience.
With ebay, how many violations your account can withstand is usually related to how solid your account is (in terms of feedback, history, sales, performance etc.)...
A noobie account wont last with a single violation, whereas a TRS+PowerSeller will get a few slaps on their wrist before being taken down.
I would *assume* Amazon adopts a similar, but stricter concept.
I think I have received around 8 or so blocks due to the inauthentic thing - around 6 or 7 or them I had removed by supplying invoice and a couple other pieces of paperwork. If you are new or you account is small or grosses a tiny amount, my opinion is you're more in danger to these resulting in a ban. At this point we're used to getting these cleared once a month or so, but our products aren't high risk, our customers just don't choose their words very wisely.
Btw, Amazon seems to have lightened up on the inauthentic thing a tiny bit. This last one we received less than a month ago. It basically said, yo we're not removing your listing yet, but we need you to provide proofs within the next 7 days or else we will. It's like they actually understand their algorithm is overly trigger happy.

My account was a little over a year old when it was suspended...around $8,000 in sales a month...perfect metrics...I received 4 inauthentic returns back to back to back by the SAME CUSTOMER...and boom account suspended...so yeah if you are new just one inauthentic can get you banned.

Did you appeal - considering it was same customer?
