Well, no that complex:
1. I dont have Amazon seller account on my personal ip and computer. just about 5 years old buyer account..
2. a freind that i do some biz with, with his fu@#! banned seller account, visiting me in my house, logging in with his cell phone to his account doing his stuff...
3. I was thinking about opening an account today on my computer and on my new business, and that thing with the guy happened yesterday
4. the funny thing is that we sell the exact same thing, buying from the same places the inventory, everything...
5. do you guys think i should call them before im opening this account? wont that risk his account (that is in a process of reconsideration).
Thanks! | |

I would not expect any problems but in the future try to keep your business stuff such as IP private so these things can not occur.

If he used his own phone/computer, the only thing I see compromised here is the IP.
Just get an alternative IP to be ultra safe and your good to go.
I only say this, because your selling the same items.

@o.s.1 is your IP provider dynamic? Just reset the modem - make sure you have new IP - and avoid the same issue from here on with your friend logging in, etc.

Thanks for the answers.
Getting new ip its not a problem. The only thing that i was afraid that can cause an issue is the fact that my ip and my Amazon user are connected, and that guy came with his problems
You dont think i should contact them and ask for approval? is that even something that you can do? I'm not paranoid of something, now im just wondering if somebody ever got this kind of approval from them...
Thanks!

Thing is amazon may not even believe you are another party.
Just to clarify.... Your friend logged into amzon from your IP & got banned.
Now, you want to sell using the same IP? | | The Following User Says Thank You to GreenBean For This Useful Post:

Hmmm.. I didn't consider that. If your amazon account was logged in at the same time as your friend and using the same ip that is a link, but the question is was it?
No such thing as approval in the context your speaking about.

@GreenBean Its not about the IP...i can always use VPN. Im talking about the connection made between the accounts

imo, if you were to use the same IP (alone), you have created an immediate link.
Then to consider selling the same items, is creating yet another set of similarities.
Sure, you are the innocent party. amazon will care less.
I recommend another approach entirely. | | The Following User Says Thank You to GreenBean For This Useful Post:

What kind of approach? You mean, selling a bunch of different stuff there or some other idea?

For sure different items and a different location.
What pleases me is you asked before committing to creating an account, and maybe getting stung!
