| phaz0rz | 07-31-2016 08:08 AM | Re: Buyer Follette giving extremely hardtime Sorry for butting in, but I think it's absolutely insane such a reputable text book distributor is messing with you guys like that. Folette is a $2.5 billion dollar company and is apparently ranked #178 on the list of America's largest private companies.
Perhaps this has something do to with this company being so profitable.
On the other hand if any of your are actually selling phake textbooks, these guys are going to keep on robbing you blind. It's a 150 year old company with over 1200 stores. They have the experience to tell if their books are legit or not... |
| mehuprav27 | 07-31-2016 10:20 PM | Re: Buyer Follette giving extremely hardtime amazon always pays but understand if amazon even pays single dollar , that is counted against your account. That means your account will not last longer... They will close our account for ever eventually ... |
Re: Buyer Follette giving extremely hardtime Phake Books.....now I've seen it all. |
Re: Buyer Follette giving extremely hardtime follette usually orders high volume at the start of the textbook season and returns everything they cant sell at the end of the season or 90 day window thats what my experience has been with them.if they order 10 to 15 books in 1 order i usually cancel it to avoid the hassle a month or 2 later when they claim it was damaged or arrived late
.but I am having more trouble with people buying in bulk trying to trade in for gift cards because the buyback prices are high during the season |

You'll have to talk to the suppliers to find out about their actual inventory. They'll have 1 or 2 books listed just to draw attention while they actually keep hundreds in stock. I get daily emails from one company... :/
Textbooks are what AZ is founded on, so it's only natural for those to be put through Chinese copy machines just like everything else profitable. |

My name is Michael, and I’m a member of the Amazon.com Executive Seller Relations Team. Jeff Bezos received your email and requested that I research this issue and respond on his behalf.

| kenix | 08-25-2016 09:16 PM | Re: Buyer Follette giving extremely hardtime mehuprav27, you said he made 38 orders on your account worth 8000 $.
Did you cancel the order or did you send it? Does that mean he will open a claim months later and get $8,000 back? How long does a selling account last usually with all of his inauth claims ?
Hmmmm to cancel and ruin my selling metrics or send to follete and have a-z claims months later.... |

If your books are counterfeit and this company is buying from you to try and get you removed from Amazon then best of luck to them. If you make the decision to sell counterfeits then you have to deal with the good and the bad.
If however your items are fully legit then you do of course have our deepest sympathies for being victimised by this multi-million dollar company. |
| azuser18 | 08-27-2016 10:57 AM | Re: Buyer Follette giving extremely hardtime I totally agree with you guys. Having no option to block buyers/ have some kind of a buyers blacklist is a big hassle. There are actually quite a lot of people who make some money out of this practice. But what you are gonna do...Amazon is buyers heaven and nothing is gonna change about that any time soon... |
| klmklm0 | 10-14-2016 09:17 AM | Re: Buyer Follette giving extremely hardtime Anyone still having problems with Follett? Read about them, but they are a huge company to be playing these petty games. Any thoughts? Anyone have any successful dealings with them? |
| chaichaoyi | 10-15-2016 11:55 PM | Re: Buyer Follette giving extremely hardtime A thought: how do you guys make sure that trouble-maker and the large company is the same entity? I can register as "Exxon Mobile" also, can't I? |
| ginson | 11-21-2016 11:47 PM | Re: Buyer Follette giving extremely hardtime yes, i had 7 orders a-z guarantee claims from Follett, and after that my account suspended. |
| dbcoop | 02-20-2017 10:12 PM | Re: Buyer Follette giving extremely hardtime So I'm a fairly new seller to amazon.. new enough I have no seller feedback but have 10 sales of various things.. some books. some random games i had lying around new in box..
I got an order today from Follette and it was my first "business buyer" so I decided to search the name to see what kinda business wanted to buy my book.. and I ran across this page.. and i read on.. and got to thinking.. should i cancel it.. and why MY book...?
So i decided to go and look and see what the prices were for that book in particular.. and they were priced significantly* less than mine.. which was priced at 7.43.. he could of purchased it from a known seller with plenty of good feedback for just 5.00.. i feel like he is going to pull a claim on me..
should I just cancel the order and save the headache? |
