Activity: 0% Longevity: 69% | | MC999 on a brand new Stealth eBay account
Hi Guys,
I made a new stealth account few days ago. Haven't start selling, and only bought 2 items for $1 each. A day later, got 2 emails saying MC999 and my eBay account has been suspended. PayPal account is still ok.
Anyone know what could happened?
Thanks

Here is the original email received, it didn't state any reasons
Your eBay account has been suspended because recent account activity has raised security concerns. We've taken this precaution to protect our members while we make sure that the activity doesn't cause harm--even unintentionally--to the eBay community.
Unfortunately, you won't be able to use eBay in any way. This includes using another existing account or registering a new account.
Any outstanding fees will be due immediately, and any amounts that you haven't previously disputed will be charged to the billing method currently on file.
We appreciate your understanding.
Thanks,
eBay

Nothing to ask to call them?
How did you create this account? Everything new etc? |

Yes everything new, pretty familar with stealth now, considering running a few at the moment.
But I did trying to list an item with this account right after I registered it, but I didn't complete the listing.
I just called eBay, and it seems like it was because I was trying to sell on eBay, and she said they need to verify the seller? Now it's asking me to provide ID & Proof of address.
Hopefully it can be reinstated.

Do you ever wait 30 days before making your first listing?
MC999 are being handed out all the time now.
I am no sure that rushing to list is workable these days. Paypal should be verified & confirmed as well.
Account should look sound to ebay. |

So many ways on approaching this but 2-3 weeks of browsing and bidding do seem to help before selling

Sent the files to them yesterday but still no success. Just received an email saying I did not complied with eBay site policy and they decided to part ways.
Is this because I list too soon? So it's best to wait for a few weeks before list anything now?

What did you list? was it anything similar to old suspended items?
Are you stripping images?
Was there a verified paypal?
Are you totally sure eveything was 'new'? |

I was tryin to list a iPhone case, I took new photo, and never sold it b4 in any of the previous accounts.
PayPal was bank verified, but PayPal is fine, hasn't received any limitation yet.
Yup definitely fresh everything, even when I called, they didn't say anything about linkage. I might give them another ring.

Probably a rookie assumption on my end but surely iphone cases are not considered to be high risk items if you are advertising them as non-branded and selling for a reasonable price.
So far i have had no problems with the account i even listed on it before my L&G card was verified on Paypal. I have also made a couple of withdrawals on the card now and still haven't had any issues.
Surely there must be a link somewhere.
Keep us posted if you are able to reinstate the account i am particularly interested in this.

Do not sell anything APPLE related on a new account. It gets flagged straight away. Even if it isn't a high risk item. Anything to do with Apple gets flagged. WARNING EBAY LINK

might explain to you why they asked for verification and they suspended you.

Follow these guidelines when listing newly released Apple items to help meet buyer demand and deliver excellent customer service.
Listing the latest Apple products
Once Apple products are made available to the public, most sellers are allowed to list them with some limitations:
Apple authorised resellers can list an unlimited number of items a week
Top Rated Sellers can list up to eight items a week
Sellers meeting the minimum performance standards can list four items a week
New sellers whove confirmed their personal information can list one item a week.
Sellers who do not meet the minimum performance standards or havent confirmed their personal informationwill not be allowed to list the latest Apple products. Apple related domain name and email address sales
Sellers offering Nintendo and Apple related domain names or email addresses for sale on eBay, will be allowed up to four listings each weekwhich must be in the Domain Name category.
Follow these best practices for selling the latest Apple and other products on eBay.
Regards,
The eBay Team

Just because eB puts that writing on the site shows how much authorization you need - quite unlikely to get unless you have a lot of proof for this risky item

Yup definitely fresh everything, even when I called, they didn't say anything about linkage. I might give them another ring. | Not just a branded item but an item that has a company that practises a very strong IP rights protection policy.
Such listings flag accounts. |

Not been happening in Australia for a long time. |
