I am just wondering if paypal can check your passport number and drivers licence number? i blacked out my passport number but i left a piece of it off.

this is for an australian paypal i might add

Preferable you did not black out too much of the passport.

Usually better to have 'some' numbers visible.

Might depend on what happens when the info is checked.

It all depends on how well paypal will look at your documents.
And also if you are okay losing the account all together ?

they said they accepted the drivers licence

but told me they could not accept the passport. that i need to do a utility bill.

is there anyway they can check the utility bill?

Yes cable is a utility bill just like water electric garbage etc.

ahh thank you. whats wierd is they said my drivers licence worked and can be used but my passport couldnt.

i dont really understand what made the passport not work. also Is there a way they can check utlity bills?

They definitely dont phone the company the bill is with to check if the user exists,they just look over the documents to see if the address matches the one on paypal.

ahhh wonderful.

I sell small things and was going real well until I just left the money in paypal for the last month or so and it reached over a thousand dollars then I get hit with all of this.

my issue is the utility bill does not completely match the address on my paypal which is why I was asking if they checked it
