You can load money into the L&G card over the counter at an Australia Post outlet with cash or load online via credit card - but that has been restricted now. I think now when you try to load money into it via your credit card it stops you and asks you to call your ccard company first.

Hi guys great thread! Has anyone used the bpay option to get money from PayPal to l&g, if so was it instant. Also has anyone tried a virtual phone number to receive text?

From what I remember it was not instant deposit -few days. Not done virtual phone numbers. I only buy the $2 sims then phone load n go from a real phone and they text the number to the new sim -does not need to be activated or credit put on it.

I think it's exactly 7 days. Thus if you withdraw $250 on a Friday afternoon, and the next week try to withdraw $250 on the Friday morning, it won't work. It just says insufficient funds. So really unless you can remember the exact time you went the week before, you have to wait 8 days. Otherwise it's just a waste to goto the ATM and try it.

I haven't tried this yet, but has anyone tried getting out some additional cash when they were at the supermarket with their purchase? Does that count as a withdraw?

@craig, you can only get cash out from an ATM and you need the PIN.

You can't get cash out in eftpos machines.
Example... coles and woolies let you get cash out from their eftpos machines. If you try, it would reject the card for cash out. I know because i have tried cashing out from woolworths as it is closer to my home than the nearest ATM.

Only can do it at ATM. sucks for me cos the nearest ATM is 2 kms away but i live across the road from a woolworths.

How about purchasing gift cards at coles/woolies? Obviously you can't withdraw cash from them but this would be a good way to move money from the L&G to something concrete yeah?

First post, looking to get set up after being suspended from Paypal. So many restrictions, seems it's easier to go stealth than go legit! That's a flawed system surely..

Has anybody made a new account with these since the 8th of February? I've made several and none of the initial Paypal deposits are showing up anymore? Withdrawals to cards already confirmed are showing up. Originally I thought the L&G site was just slow in updating as it sometimes is but it has now taken way too long.

So you made a brand new account and the initial confirmation deposits showed up since that date?

And they finally updated and showed the deposits, literally 13 days later. Can't believe it took that long.

Had my L&G card restricted today with a few hundred bucks in it. Card is under stealth details.

Has anyone had this happen yet? were you able to lift the restriction?

Did you do anything unusual or out of the ordinary to get it restricted?

99% chance they just want to confirm you made those purchases, so you simply call them up and they ask did you make 'x' purchase.. 'yes'... okay thanks your restriction is lifted.

When you call and they ask for your card number, don't put anything in and it should automatically take you to a person.

If the number is under a non-working number just edit it beforehand to a working number, that's what I did and no worries.

you must have done something for this to happen.

Apart from some glitches during February when transactions were delayed, most of the time things are OK with this card.

Thanks for the replies. After calling and telling a customer service rep about the limitation i was told they would investigate the matter and get back to me as soon as possible but it may take 3-5 business days.

I logged in on auspost.com again 3 hours later and restriction was lifted. They didn't even bother asking about any transactions or any extra info apart from card details.

Extremely shocked they just lifted the restriction that easily. There was so much activity on the card. Western union, dhgate, personal use, ATM withdrawals and over loading of the card.
