21 Day Hold Solution
 

After spending sleepless nights with this ridiculous new rule I decided too just go with it and see what happens.....

posted same day the buyer paid
printed out the ebay postage label
handed over the parcel to AP (counter) to get scanned
waited next day for tracking info update(was posted express)
was confirmed delivered
phoned paypal that day
funds were released that day

I continued on the phonecall with paypal for the other 6 transactions and all funds were released. Turn around was a few hours after delivery confirmation.

Understandably everyone is a tad paranoid when phoning up PP but rest assured this was over in 10 minutes with no added pressure at all ;)

Forgot to mention....

-the ebay account was 10 days old with 0 feedback
-the items averaged $65 each

I thought so at first, however it takes 10 minutes out of your day and you get paid quicker. The old method was a lot better i admit and quicker lol

So you need to call each time you want your funds to get released quicker right? did anyone try calling after 7-18 days, are the chances higher after longer periods of time? is it working without adding tracking info?

Need tracking.

Need as many point as possible to get funds released.

The 21-day hold rule is nothing new for new accounts for almost 18 months now.

All you need to do is use eBay shipping and pay for it using PayPal to send your package to the buyer. By doing this PayPal can keep "tabs" on you and they are 100% sure that the package is shipped and when it gets delivered.

Once the package is delivered you will receive funds in up to 72 hours.

Now... it used to be that PP would lock up funds if the buyer claimed "not as described" or wanted a refund but, I've noticed in the past couple of months that isn't the case, they will still release funds while the dispute is going on. Maybe they are becoming more seller friendly...(NOT).

I wouldn't keep pressing your luck and call in for every transaction. It's noted everytime you call and one day you will get a rep that limits the account

Did you notice that the flag is AUSTRALIA?


Our paypal has changed its game plan in a nasty manner since late November.

Of course we have had the 21 day holds.


But more sellers even with older accounts are being treated like their accounts are brand new.

Yes I did notice. The reason for the 21 day hold is to be sure that the seller ships out the items.

I would assume that eBay has a shipping service with tracking like the US. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
