Default anyone know if RLauren is Paypal only or can you use a merchant account?

Quick question, anyone know if selling Ralph Lauren Polo, are you required to use paypal with a pre-11/07 account? or can you use authorize.net/ merchant plus? or a merchant account? Didn't know if it was like dvd's and were required to use Paypal.
Thanks in advance.

I think anything with brand name has to be paypal only, regardless of the age of account. Anything designer in clothes and accessories category for sure.

With if listed with no brand because a polo shirt is not a brand and just going off the photo for info??? Wonder if it would still need to be listed in the paypal only category or should one just play the paypal game?

You won't get much bids if you do not put the brand in the title.

Try a test auction and see if you can list it without paypal.. RLauren is extremely easy to get away with on ebay if i must say.. I wouldnt be surprised that you would be able to list it without Paypal

ok the OP is referring to not accepting Paypal at all with a pre 11/07 account...

from my personal experience with accounts that do use paypal:

RL does not need the supplied paypal email to be linked to a verified account, as opposed to Lacoste in which maybe after the first listing you have verify your paypal, although you didnt actually "link" your ebay<->paypal

Game systems dont need (nintendo, ps3) dont need any paypal.. i've never dealt with xbox/microsoft so i cant say..

Are you sure about RL? I know that some brands are easier to sell than others, but it is the whole group "clothes & accessories" under that rule, right? You can go and try without linking paypal to this auction..as Yaw says. The worst that can happen, they will take the auction down, than you will know. A lot of it is trial and error, none here sells every brand.
I suggest you re-read Ebay rules on that to be sure. You don't want to risk getting "Abusing Ebay" in your email without doing your homework first.

Juicy Couture is very high up on the list. Watch for their bags.

Thanks for the heads up. I thought about it because ebay is flooded with their bags that are obviously ⊗⊗⊗⊗.

Certain Juicy/Liz Claiborne items are very difficult to get away with, others not so much. A lot of it boils down to your presentation. Many listing are taken down from the descriptions & pictures alone. Some VERO members don't want you selling their items, even if they are real. If you present your auctions in a very professional manner, you can get away with a lot more. VERO members aren't so strict with professional looking listings, from my experience.

maybe according to the "First Sale" law or whatever, if you list as used since you have purchased it and had it in your possession, using it or not, it won't throw up a VERO flag? Just my opinion, haven't tried it, but a thought.

The "used" ones have better chance than "new" one, but nothing is guaranteed. Almost all ⊗⊗⊗⊗ are new.
