Sometimes when I revise a listing my listing never shows up on search. It just sits there with no hits. Is someone deciding on pulling it or is there something else wrong?
The complete step-by-step guide to get back to selling today!
Are you waiting at least 12 hours before you try and find it? Have you copied and pasted the listing title exactly in the search box to see if it is actually live? Remember sometimes it can take awhile for a listing to appear. What you are describing is what we like to call "ghosting" on Craigslist which is a pain to get around once they decide to do it on your account. Nobody can see your ad but it shows you that it is live on the site. Remember to limit your revising of your listings. eBay doesn't like people to revise often.
I read somewhere in ebay that they don't care about revising to much anymore and I know from researching other ( under 100 feedback ) sellers that it's common. But I'll take your word for it cause maybe those sellers went through the faxing ritual and succeeded, which put's them on another plateau.
I usually just click on my ebay id to see items listed, or the see other items link. Some items show up within seconds and some can take as long as 12 hrs, it's just another ebay mystery, try listing it on another account and see if it shows up sooner, sometimes it does.
It always shows up the first time, but when I revise the description or shipping etc... It sometimes sits in nowheresville. I usually panic, close it early and relist it with the changes on another account with no problems.
