tested exif reader

Ok so most of my pics are stock photos but on pics you take yourself if you have multiple accounts, and use same camera it is advised to strip exif data, otherwise it shows stuff like camera brand and model which links you.

Now, I tested my stripped pics ( no not those type, youve got rude minds) and used an exif reader and it says cannot open exif file. Is this correct? should this be the case when stripped or is my reader malfunctioning, can any other member do this test too??

It would be good to get definitive answer , as if your exif tag remover wasnt working for some reason, it would be useful to periodically test the pics were being cleaned...

Hi!

Use irfanview and download the complete program + plugins--> its free download...

Use the save for web plug in and choose the options...remove exif data...

To double check if data indeed is removed...u can use right click on the picture and check the picture details...

If u have done it correctly...no personal data will be there..

ok just did all that, and yes can confirm, non-stripped pic shows details, press information button, then excif button but when same pic is stripped, exif button doesnt show - so presume no exif data
