What is your Favorite "Teaser Word" you use in your title?

What are your Favorite "Teaser Words" you use in your titles that seem to work best for your listings?

The two that seem to work Best for me are SUPERB and MINT.

I use many others but would like to see the suggestions you use which have had the best success.

Authentic, Stunning & w/receipt

HaRdy SiNgH 08-28-2008 02:54 PM

**BRAND NEW**, **FREE GIFT** etc :)

Burst 08-28-2008 04:34 PM

NIB, NEW, L@@K, RARE, NR!@

Those are some I use. Rare can only work for certain items. But its a good one

Well my sales have definitely slowed since the Best Match Search and the New My eBay Page came out.

Maybe some different teaser words might help?

Anybody have any more good ones? :D

yaw1800 02-07-2009 11:51 AM

ive noticed the subtitle is your best friend in this Best Match game...
i just write what the people want to see in the subtitle, "best deal on ebay" seems to always attract people to take a look at my auctions

Any one of these characters work for me depending on what i'm selling - they appear in BOLD and there are several other characters that can be used - I dont think ebay likes this but it works for me and i have seen others using just one but i use a variety. I think the only way ebay will investigate is if a member reports your title as being "illegally flashy"

OK, here's where you can get a ton of them already on your computer.

Click to Start button on the very lower left on your computer...its the place where you go to access your programs.

Where the search function is...type charmap

Then just click on charmap and that will bring up Character Map. Just play around with different fonts for all kinds of different characters.

Thanks! :D

SevnSins 01-09-2010 09:56 AM

NZT 01-10-2010 06:49 AM

I usually use FETISH, or **BRAND NEW**

I used to use ***Used Underwear!!!*** but they dont allow that now.

After reading the ebay and other auction site forums, not many people believe the word "Authentic" anymore.

Wonder why....... :D

But speaking of receipts, anyone know how to obtain them without buying the exact product?

I believe it's "New In Box/No Receipt", if I'm not mistaken.

TGMT² 02-25-2010 12:59 PM

^^^ NR is "No Reserve"

Usually meaning a auction with "No Reserve", but most people use it now to just grab some attention towards their title/listing.

SevnSins 02-25-2010 02:00 PM

Thank you TheyGotMeToo.

Forgot about that one.

jamblix 02-25-2010 08:40 PM

I'm no expert, but I put this in the subtitles of an auction I put up yesterday.

BRAND NEW! / FREE SHIPPING! / NO RESERVE!

23 hours later I've got 15 watchers, 11 bids, 4 more days to go and it's already at %60 of what I want the final price to be.

jbluntz 02-26-2010 03:09 AM

BRAND NEW FACTORY SEALED seems to work pretty well depending on what you're selling of course, might not work as well with ping-pong balls.
