| | | TGMT² | 08-02-2008 06:54 PM | What is your Favorite "Teaser Word" you use in your title? What are your Favorite "Teaser Words" you use in your titles that seem to work best for your listings?
The two that seem to work Best for me are SUPERB and MINT.
I use many others but would like to see the suggestions you use which have had the best success. |
| trg005 | 08-02-2008 09:27 PM | Authentic, Stunning & w/receipt |
| HaRdy SiNgH | 08-28-2008 02:54 PM | **BRAND NEW**, **FREE GIFT** etc :) |
| Burst | 08-28-2008 04:34 PM | NIB, NEW, L@@K, RARE, NR!@
Those are some I use. Rare can only work for certain items. But its a good one  |
| TGMT² | 02-07-2009 09:26 AM | Well my sales have definitely slowed since the Best Match Search and the New My eBay Page came out.
Maybe some different teaser words might help?
Anybody have any more good ones? :D |
| yaw1800 | 02-07-2009 11:51 AM | ive noticed the subtitle is your best friend in this Best Match game...
i just write what the people want to see in the subtitle, "best deal on ebay" seems to always attract people to take a look at my auctions |
| NO ID | 02-12-2009 08:23 AM | Any one of these characters work for me depending on what i'm selling - they appear in BOLD and there are several other characters that can be used - I dont think ebay likes this but it works for me and i have seen others using just one but i use a variety. I think the only way ebay will investigate is if a member reports your title as being "illegally flashy"

| mmac900 | 04-25-2009 11:07 PM | Like Paris Hilton says "that's HOT" :p |

Click to Start button on the very lower left on your computer...its the place where you go to access your programs.
Where the search function is...type charmap
Then just click on charmap and that will bring up Character Map. Just play around with different fonts for all kinds of different characters. |
| imjustme | 01-09-2010 03:27 AM | Thanks! :D |
| SevnSins | 01-09-2010 09:56 AM | L@@K, NWT, RARE, and GIN/BIN a while back. |
I usually use FETISH, or **BRAND NEW**
I used to use ***Used Underwear!!!*** but they dont allow that now. |

Authentic, Stunning & w/receipt | After reading the ebay and other auction site forums, not many people believe the word "Authentic" anymore.
Wonder why....... :D
But speaking of receipts, anyone know how to obtain them without buying the exact product? |

| TGMT² | 02-25-2010 12:59 PM | ^^^ NR is "No Reserve"
Usually meaning a auction with "No Reserve", but most people use it now to just grab some attention towards their title/listing. |
| SevnSins | 02-25-2010 02:00 PM | Thank you TheyGotMeToo.
Forgot about that one.
 |
| jamblix | 02-25-2010 08:40 PM | I'm no expert, but I put this in the subtitles of an auction I put up yesterday.
BRAND NEW! / FREE SHIPPING! / NO RESERVE!
23 hours later I've got 15 watchers, 11 bids, 4 more days to go and it's already at %60 of what I want the final price to be. |
| jbluntz | 02-26-2010 03:09 AM | BRAND NEW FACTORY SEALED seems to work pretty well depending on what you're selling of course, might not work as well with ping-pong balls. |
| ptenchick | 03-09-2010 02:03 PM | Hi. This is my list..
NEW
NIB
FREE gift
Bonus
Wow!

| TGMT² | 03-25-2011 04:07 PM | Something I have been seeing lately that I have never seen before, is people using... LKN
I guess that is supposed to be Like New? |
| Wikked Tikked | 04-07-2011 09:49 PM | "illegally flashy" LOL that cracks me up...
One I've used "VINTAGE" = old stuff L@@K - never used it but used it in a search....unreal Shabby Chic - never used it but people search for it using just those words
I can't remember the exact terms I used in a listing but during the listing process I was told I couldn't say "LIKE NEW" but I could say something else that was so stupid that I just copied and pasted the text of what they said I could say and used it in the title. I'll post it when I find it because it was so ridiculous.
POTPOURRI = French for dead stinky leaves |
| Wikked Tikked | 04-07-2011 09:55 PM | I couldn't say "LIKE NEW" in the title but I could say "SLIGHTLY USED".... |
| whatnow | 04-08-2011 03:56 PM | BNWT, RARE, AUTHENTIC for me but will be trying some of the others on here now |
| ShadyOne | 04-08-2011 06:01 PM | **SEX**
**PORN**
They would have worked in the Adult category lol not too sure about other categories like Animals and Dolls...hmmm maybe ;)
**CLICK HERE** - lol would eBay let this one, makes you want to click doesn't it! :)
LMAO at 'L@@K', didn't every listing used to contain this on the old eBay?! |
| Wikked Tikked | 04-10-2011 07:27 AM | The overuse of the word "RARE" kills me especially when it turns up with the 100 or so other items just like it. |
| Mondy | 04-10-2011 07:27 PM | This list works fine!
Brand New
Free Shipping
Free Gift
Authentic |
| DrivenSeller | 07-04-2011 02:17 PM | For me it depends on the Product that i am listing..
So for instance in a listing for snap back hats i would write "DOPE"
it depends on niche i am targeting to |
| koncret | 07-31-2011 03:27 PM | Authentic , Genuine or BNIB they are always work no matter what you are selling. |
| furlac | 09-20-2011 08:17 PM | Instead of slightly, you could use "gently used" Quote:
