Default Photos using an iPhone

If i take photos using my iPhone for all my accounts, will they be linked?

Not sure if there is any type of tracking in the photos which they could identify

No your photo's won't be linked. Although when I send them through emails, I go ahead and change the name of the photo. However there is no information linking back to where that picture was taken!

@Jack

that reply is a tad inaccurate. You are not asking if the OP has the ebay appl on the phone.

You do NOT know if the iphone is safe to be going near ebay.

Confirm stuff like that before replying.

Sorry to disagree with you Jack but iPhone actually saves GPS Location of each picture that is taken. ALL iphone images should be cleared of this data.

@OP...just one word for you will answer your question...metadata. Google it. Learn it. Avoid it!

All your accounts will be linked if they share the same photos.

As MM78 points out, a photo can pinpoint your GPS location when you took the picture.

Location is just one type of information unique to your photo...it can also be a caption, credits, keywords, creation date, etc.

Bottom line, don't share pictures between accounts.

Hey, I apologize, I should have gone into more detail with my answer!

MM is correct, Iphone does track your gps on the phone.

However you can turn that off, and as soon as I got my phone i did that. Sorry for not mentioning that. Also never use the same photos for each account.

iPhone pictures safe under jpeg (standard), but you want to make sure your clear all that information.

Another way you can do this, and I have done before is upload the pictures that you have taken to a platform that displays the photo like tinypic, and re-safe them.

This will clear any other files on it! Hope that helps! i apologize again!

ok, I'll avoid using the iPhone for photos. I used it for one account but asked before moving on to others.

I will be having different items on different accounts so I assume taking pictures from the same camera is safe correct? might be a dumb question but just want to make sure all my Ts are crossed.

You can take pics with the same camera, if your selling the same product across multiple accounts you should take pics in different backgrounds, angles, etc. then clean them with exif image cleaner, then maybe rename them for each account.

NEVER assume.

We always advise to re-do all photos for all accounts.

Plenty of threads on the forum reagrding this.

Bear in mind to try to make yourself as 'NEW' as possible. Same photos will link you.

Just a FYI couple of threads about the steps needed to stealth 'well' and addressing the topic of photos.

http://www.aspkin.com/forums/amazon/...t-related.html

I am aware of users whose accounts got suspended because their images in their listings were the same as on a suspended account.

Bear this in mind.
