What sniper said, its a free re-listing. I always use it on auctions. works once and awhile.

I dont like auto relist because sometimes I will move an item around, add pictures, change the description etc.
I dont like not selling an item, have a very high sell through ratio so when a few dont sell I always change something or look why it did not sell.

so i did some digging and found a post on an ebay help thread on ebay. it appears this is a glitch. Its randomly affecting a bunch of my listing across different accts. my concern is if I am low on stock on an item, I don't want them relisitng.

Don't check the box it's an added feature they been testing on random accounts last year and looks like it's now an added feature on all accounts, before u list it u can check or leave it unchecked

The feature is automatically ticked off when "Review the listing" comes up - make sure to de-select it if you wish

^^^^^ I never saw that? I do like it even though I have good sell through also. It keeps my "red herring items" listed and well I just like it. If memory serves me we in the US have only had it for a few months but kind of glitchy in the beginning. Seems ok now.

Its a nifty little feature for new accounts trying to establish a history. Helps your account to move up in searches, helps to max out your monthly limits. And its costing ebay money for hosting it for free | The Following User Says Thank You to BigCJ For This Useful Post: | |

Yeah I don't like it either, because like Sandy sometimes if something doesn't sell I'd like to switch it around before relisting and look why it didn't sell because like her I have probably a 99.8% sell to list ratio, but no big deal I just click the uncheckbox then list

ok, I am actually coming around to this auto relist thing.
new question is, If an item ends and gets auto relisted, does show up in the "unsold' category? Or is put in unsold after the 3 attempt?
Asking because I don't want to relist item that are currently listed.

Watch out on the 'automatically relist 3 times for free if it don't sell'!
I have tried it on many of my listings. Once it gets relisted for free by eB and I revised soon after the automatic relist, all the listing enhancements were free: gallery plus, sub-title.. so I thought I found a loop-hole but, hale no! If it doesnt sell and it again gets automatically relisted, all those enhancements that were free are being added to your bill.
they think they're slick.

Yes - hidden fees are what eB does after 3 times

this is my take, had 10 items listed, they relisted 3 times. did not sell but one after the three times I could not relist all at once. I could not even relist period. Had to delete the listings and start over! I hate this feature!

I like the relist feature for some of my low-end items of which I have 100 in stock hah but for specific items...no no.

My main account has a relist option if sold or not sold. I like that. But my other stealth accounts don't have this option and it be nice because every 3 days I come to relist my items on about a dozen accounts only takes me 20 minutes to do but still. I want to open up like 3 more dozen accounts so I'd be looking at an hour and 20 minutes for every 3 days?
Or maybe I should do about 15 accounts every day so it's like 25 minutes.

I thought of starting a new thread, but my question
related to this topic.
Would you guys recommend to avoid automatically
re-list on FIRST ITEMS (1-3 first items) sold on stealth account,
or it should not create any issue?

I dont see it as causing an issue - really depends on WHAT you are selling...risky?

It depends who you ask..:-)
I saw in another thread you mentioned collectibles as a good to go items,
(which I have many of them after searching some yard sales etc.)
but then other users didn't recommend that. I already listed two items
that are considered collectibles (brands etc) but haven't got any issue with
these. I should probably change strategy and list them without mentioning their series/brand.
