Increasing eBay sales

On the topic of increasing eBay sales:

1) does using subtitles assist with increases sales? I know eBay says they do. Anyone here had noticeable success using them?

2) what can I do to my listings to make them more mobile device friendly?

Re: Increasing eBay sales

more than 75% of all ebay purchases are now done on a mobile device according to ebay.

Keep things short and to the point. Bold and standard font.

I like to use bulletin dots for important info.

I try to keep details top to bottom on the left side of the screen and add no fluff to make it as clear as possible on the small screen.

I test all major listings on an Iphone to see what the customer is forced to use and make corrects from there.

I have increased the amount of pictures I use. Pictures always get looked at and descriptions seldom get read completely.

Agree with Sandy, the more pictures the better, people want shots of every angle.

Dont shell out cash for subtitles (unless they are free promotion)

I dont use them because in my testing I did not see any increase in sales when I did.

Does creating a photo with specifications/ product details help ? Does eBay frown on heat?

I totally agree. They might be useful if selling a very valuable item, but are very costly. When I tried them, there was no noticeable increase in my sales.

I might use it if I were selling a valuable one of a kind item and I wanted a little more space to entice people into clicking on my listing, but that is about it.

High quality pictures, (bad photos are almost as bad as no photos) and titles that get them to your auction...subtitles, in my opinion...after 14 years on ebay, are a waste of money.

Your own photos are always good

You need to use solid keywords also. Without keyword spamming of course.

A google search which some buyers use will help you with this.

Personally, I do believe lots of photos is more important than any subtitle. I do understand eBay has changed quite a bit with all the mobile devices. But I still think if you have a solid description and have big large Photos embedded into your listing as well as uploaded with eBay that is the easiest way to sell.

I can't tell you how many listings I have seen in the past few years with zero description a couple crappy photos from a phone. Saying listed with eBay Mobile. I always say good luck with that.

Maybe you can call me an eBay traditionalist but even if you are selling a generic Power Extension cord. I still think you are much better off taking several photos yourself than using some stock photo stolen from someone else.

Just my opinion. Everyone is entitled to their own.

More photos = more clarity for the buyer...many buyers dont even read listings it would seem hah

I use tons of pictures and social media on certain items to get traffic. That traffic turns into other items selling as well.

well depends if you can get all info on main listing. if you need more keywords then subtitle is useful, it will help

Does anyone know how to get your item on page one of google?

One of my items comes up as the second link on google if you type it in. I believe that helps bring many sales
