This is not entirely true, I know for certain (just tested multiple accounts and spoke to chat agents) that if you were previously suspended due to owing outstanding fees then obviously they won't let you register for MP and begin selling again.

It will appear as though it lets you register, asking for your details and ID input etc, but when you go to complete the signup process after entering banking details it wont let you past this point, throws some random something went wrong error.

So basically if you were suspended due to owing fees then no I don't think you can get back on and register to sell under MP, unless maybe you pay your overdue fees...

Hi Guys..new here, appreciate the chance to ask a question about Ebay & MP
So I unfortunately got my mothers Ebay account banned about 15 yrs ago. Now going to open new Ebay account & MP in my name ...can use all new real details, New name, new Bank account, new phone no, new PayPal...Can use new genuine details to register for MP too..BUT same old address will come up. Will this be a problem? Can use another address that I do get some mail sent to, nearby (I own it, so have rates notice). What proof of address will I show Ebay? Should I try to use new address, even if most of my records the Government will have ( that MP will use to verify) would show me living at old address, which was on banned Ebay account? ..Grateful for advice on this.

Sorry!.me again! so Ebay & managed payments don't actually ever need anyone to verify their address..only other things like your Identity..but they are don't get anyone to specifically verify there address..Is that right?..(sorry again)

It depends, there are cases where they require you to verify address such as if upgrading to business seller account, or they may ask you to verify your address at any point.

But usually they now verify your ID matches against whatever 3rd party database/agency they use to verify it (maybe adyen payments do it on behalf).

I don't know if they verify the address matches, but they do verify if the ID number matches for licence at least.

good luck let us know how you get on with sales and if you are asked for anything.

2 Year's on and still going strong my man! Now selling over 500K a year on this particular account. People should keep in mind that I don't sell vero or other high risk items. I'm running a proper business with great quality products.

Im very sorry for bad news!
No it won’t stop giving wrong information with mp accounts it all depends on how you setup the account, the details used and how you grow your account. One of my MP accounts is on the verge of hitting £70,000 in turn over and not once have i been asked for id. Hope i don’t jinx myself lol.

ID will be asked for if you reach the next merchant tier , you can check the adyen documentation , all merchants are divided into tiers by the rules of credit card companies

Course it will but i’m just stating the obvious if the account is setup correctly and details for registration are good and verifiable then all is well of course further down the line you’ll get asked for ID, invoices, where your stock is held etc but to be honest my stealth accounts i keep them under 75k so that i don’t hit the VAT threshold and then move on to another account when i hit 75k

But never the less you could get asked for docs at any time its all about how you run your account.
