| Pringles | 01-12-2012 06:01 AM | Lol sorry that sentence came off as a bit arrogant. I wrote it in a rush at work while the boss wasn't looking :p
When you register your PPal details, they tell you that they will check your address details with AusPost records |

So should this pass the address check when I register it? All the details I plan to open my stealth paypal will match up with the auspost card. Should I try and use it or look at another option? |
| Pringles | 02-01-2012 08:44 AM | should be fine
i use random addresses all the time |

Im sure it would be a red flag if they found out, but they might or might not pick up on it (they are incredibly unorganized and stupid). Even if they do pick up on it, chances are you wont get limited, there would just be a red flag against ur name and u will be watched closely, best to take it slow just incase, dont try any 'risky' transactions for 2 months minimum and if ur ebay evolved get a healthy 20-50 feedback and make sure the account is aged 2 months before you try sell anything VERO or 'high risk'.
Good luck |
| spandax | 02-03-2012 01:52 AM | Thanks for the advice.
I just signed up a while ago but I also used a new bank account as well as the pre paid visa. Since I am using a name variation I was able to add it. I checked with my bank before I added it to make sure it would work. Just asked them if someone spells my name wrong etc would transfers work and they said as long as its close it inst a problem.. They just emphasized getting the account and bsb right.. Also I used a deposit only account.
I really only use to sell my old computer gear when I was on ebay before my limitation. Is that high risk stuff?
When I signed up it doesn't have an option to verify my address though. Only my bank accounts. Does this option come after? During the signing up process it showed up as my address being in the postage system against the records and asked me if to confirm it was mine so does this mean my address is already verified? |

And yeh ur address is verified. |

And yeh ur address is verified. | Ok cool! So I don't need the virtual number anymore then? Why have other people needed to do phone verification for their address? I plan to use Paymate once I have ten positive feedback.. that's their criteria.. Accounts been active for almost 24 hours so that's good. Hopefully it stays this way. |
| Pringles | 02-04-2012 07:36 AM | you need a phone number for a separate number
when you create a seller account it asks for phone verification and you will receive an automated call at the number registered to your account |
| tommydebest | 02-04-2012 08:35 PM | ^yep, and to be honest dont expect to get anywhere near as much sales as u got when you were using paypal, because only a very very small portion of ebayers use paymate. |
| GreenBean | 02-04-2012 08:42 PM | @tommydebest
then send a message I wanna buy your item ,can I use paypal?
Um, did you read the listing & payment methods? |
| express_bay | 02-14-2012 01:25 AM | I just bought a Woolies prepaid mastercard for online shopping for $2.95. Do I need to put any money before verifying through paypal as it has $0 value in it at the moment.
Let me know thanks. |
| Pringles | 02-14-2012 07:00 AM | The minimum load on the woolies card is 20 bucks |
| craigoaus | 02-15-2012 12:54 AM | Paypal can not verify if there are no funds on the card as they make a charge for $2 to the card, so if you want to verify a PP account with the card yes it needs some money there |
| express_bay | 02-21-2012 01:25 AM | cool thanks heaps:humble: |
| express_bay | 02-21-2012 03:36 AM | Hi, one more question.
during verification paypal said that it will charge 2 dollars from the prepaid mastercard and in the transaction detail it will provide 4 digit pin code that we have to enter to verify the card.
As I am using that woolies prepaid mastercard how can I check the transaction details as there is nothing like that as the card is not on any name and doesn't have a transaction statement.
Replies would be appreciated. |
| craigoaus | 02-22-2012 07:56 PM | I just tried to verify Paypal and pay ebay bill with Woolworths prepaid card and the card was not accepted. After checking that the card was good I phoned Woolworths and was told that due to the card not having my name on it it would not work with ebay/paypal. I was the second person to make this call in the last couple of days. I hope this is a glitch but more than likely these cards have been banned... (I hope not) | | All times are GMT -5.
