Moven may not be a good candidate

I opened a new Moven account in February. Linked it to my Paypal (no problems). Transferred $1000 which it appeared in the account but then I think it raised a red flag. They put a hold on the account and debit card. When I submitted a trouble ticket to see what's going on they asked me to verify my information. After I did that they closed my account. I'm waiting on an explanation but I'm sure it's because of the name mismatch.

So if you plan to open a new Moven Account for Paypal it's a no go.

Paypal stealth accounts that is. I'm sure if the bank name matches the Paypal name you should be fine. Paypal accepts Moven no problem.

I would strongly consider attempting to withdraw no more than $50 first few times, and building history, before ruling this out completely.

It may be that you raised alarm bells with a lack of history, and a large withdrawal first time round that they erred on the side of caution and closed the account.

Yes this is also possible. I'll update this post once they respond with a reason. I've just never had an issue with a physical bank before. I usually withdraw at least $1000 to my bank accounts (Wells Fargo, Chase, BofA) with no issues. I think the online banks are more cautious with name mismatches. We shall see. Thanks for your input on this.

Update* I still haven't heard back from Moven on the reason why they closed my account. They sent the money back to my PayPal and the moven account is closed.

If the names did not match, that's the problem.
