You need Social Security number to open a bank account in USA.
Unless you show up in person and go to a bank branch,not sure how that works.

Yes there are ways to do this legally.

I think you can get a USA bank account if you open a legal business. LLC, for example. I have a US bank account and VISA business card. I used Stripe Atlas in the past to open my USA LLC. Not is the best option, but you will get and US Stripe payment account. The other options are NEO banks.
