Virtual Phone Numbers don't work on Canadian and US paypal anymore?
 

Hey guys , so I tried creating a new US paypal with a US Voip number that I obtained using textnow app. But while registering with the number on paypal (personal account) it says "sorry you cannot use a Voip number". So we cannot use voip anymore ? Is it the same for Canadian Paypal too?

VOIP numbers can be quite recycled depending on the service found. You should really opt for a true SIM number or so

Canadian paypal is also like that with the overuse of non-sim or residential number use

I experimented with textnow a couple weeks back, when creating the account you can receive the sms for verification but for instance if paypal calls you and sends an sms to verify it's actually you it won't come through or if you ever need to verify your number again when logging in you won't receive the sms. I am sure paypal blocks all viop numbers, somehow you can bypass when first registering. Not sure the case with ebay but textnow worked for creating an account back in April for me but your better off with a real number if accessible from cheap carriers like lucky mobile or speakout.

textnow gives you one free phone number if you want more you have to purchase monthly suscription since i am from algeria i just used a vpn to download the app and till now it works like a charm

How do you keep the number active, free numbers expire after 30 days?

"I obtained using textnow app" well using one of the most saturated apps isn't the best place to go, better off searching for an online voip provider who accepts a credit card or paypal to get #'s with.

I tried textfree paid version as a test and ebay blocks the number when creating a seller account. For my Canadians which phone carrier is the cheapest to use for stealth accounts? As of now I found luckymobile and speakout to be the cheapest, let me know if there any better alternatives. Thanks

Those options are likely the cheapest - not sure about fees for Freedom, Koodo as well might be worth checking out

Your account will get suspended if you use any numbers from that site, looks like recycled and viop numbers

Not sure what you mean - websites usually don't provide a phone number by itself
