This is to confirm now that you can not beat MP with stealth IDS, i just want to confirm can we receive funds under mismatch names, like ebay account and MP is on name ANDREW, and bank attached has the Name ROBERT? or some one has better solution to ebay MP Canada.Thanks in advance!

Once the bank is verified on MP side, there is automatic withdrawal to pay fees - alternative you can use gift card or cc to pay fees beforehand

i believe it is fine from ebay side - but I am yet to test this just yet - however your mileage may vary with the bank account itself - the bank may or may not cause problems coming from different names - there is one thread about this that the account got locked or something.

i have been using, BMO, HSBC and TD canada trust for almost 8 years without any problem, it was paypal before , Now Ebay MP

thanks...if it works then great - however, there is someone in this forum who reported that their Scotiabank account was flagged. The question is if the bank calls me about these mismatched names - what kind of stories I am going to tell them? lol

So eBay actually deducts their fees from the total amount before they disburse the $ to your bank.

somewhat true - my experience was if I buy label for example from them they tend to charge me after they send the money to my bank account...it all depends on timing...if u have a credit card attached you can make it primary to charge for negative balances.......it happened to me last week. Also if there is any return they will pull the money from bank unless there is valid card with enough funds to cover that. thanks.

so if they are pullig the balance from bank then they might notice Mismatch Names,? Right:canada:

They would see the name on the bank sending receipt - would they notice and cause issues for the account? Depends on review

I only pay via prepaid credit card....so not sure what happens when they pull money from mismatch name bank account.

But eBay will see that the address in the card missmatches the one registered on eBay. (I guess they can't see the name of the cardholder). Does it work for you and they deduct negative balances or refunds/ returns from the debit (prepaid) card?, really?

They won't see the address by default - they will see whatever address you provide them

In any case opening a bank account (or getting a virtual card) with the same adress that's on eBay could work ...

Card issuer could reject a charge if address for card provided by eb doesnt match up - some issuers do this but some don't

A friend of mine has just told me that he put a Wise virtual card and a message like this appeared on the pop up eBay window:

"Card address different than the one registered eBay"

So could eBay view the address anyhow or what's the matter?

Well, I can recall PayPal knowing the exact location of the bank/ branch/ village associated to the virtual cards I used to make with a spanish major bank app to confirm Paypals. They always knew the branch/ office as it was displayed in the PayPal screen, tested myself in 15 Paypal accounts. So there must be a leak somehow ...

Just use Revolut for refunds if you do not have enough with eBay.
You should temporarily change your revolut to match the account address to avoid any problems.

The alternate is to use any other card to purchase from yourself as a guest, but who wants to pay fvf just to get a pass to pay your fees / refunds?

So shall we conclude that if my virtual with the major bank (it has online app) doesn't match the adress with the one registered in MP, eBay will deny the payment (refund) with the card and will try the secondary option which is the bank account?

It is not the bank who rejects or accepts the address. Bank's AVS (Address Verification Service) returns a code to describe how good the match was. Card payment service/vendor decides, if the risk is acceptable for the payment.

Ebay and Paypal used to be very strict with the address match. My impression that after MP introduction it became less demanding. I'm not sure Ebay sees the address anymore.
