Need a good bank account with low min. deposit

I am looking for a bank or credit union that requires a low minimum deposit and no service fees. Anyplace I can withdrawal funds from my Paypal that's legit.

bankofamerica.com

25 dollars to open a checking account, and zero fees.

They have a good referral program as well :)

philly387 05-16-2010 04:20 PM

Chase as well.

First Edition 05-16-2010 04:43 PM

If you open a chase account online.... MAKE SURE YOU SAVE/PRINT THE SIGNATURE CARD!!!

THEY WILL NOT GIVE YOU THE ACCOUNT NUMBER OVER THE PHONE OR ONLINE!!

drebintech38 05-16-2010 04:46 PM

Would it matter if I have credit cards with them in default?

First Edition 05-16-2010 04:54 PM

Bank of america or chase?

Most likely not.... they will tell you almost immediatley. The part of banks that approve credit cards and loans are typically not the same department that approve checking and savings accounts. Some banks pull your credit report, and some do not. Just like some look at checksystms, and some do not.

Ally bank is good you can open acct with $1.00

First Edition 05-16-2010 09:49 PM

ING is AWESOME if the names match... you only need .50 cents after the first account is opened for a dollar. You can open it in minutes.

I haven't used Ally yet... Telly55, do you know if the names have to match?

telly55 05-16-2010 10:52 PM

Only did two transfer so far from my stealth pp acct everything was good with name not match.

Imback2010 05-17-2010 01:10 PM

I'm about to open a ing... Ids it safe? I read some where on this forum it wasnt

Vicvelcro 05-18-2010 07:47 AM

Not safe for stealth. If you will be withdrawing Paypal funds from an account that has your real name on it into an ING account with your real name on it, all should be as fine as can be (which normally isn't so fine).

If your PP name does not match the ING name, don't bother trying it.

Have you ever heard of a paypal being limited because of a purchase i made from a creditcard that was not even linked to pp it was $400 from dhgate..the card was a boa card from another checking account....

My verified stealth paypal got limited and they said the reason was because a suspicious purchase was made from a credit card that was linked to my account....but it wasnt even linked to the checking account that was verified on this paypal...it was linked to another checking account...

What gives???? this was with BOA

was i linked another way and that was just an excuse???? can they link you like this?

Vicvelcro 05-18-2010 04:03 PM

It was a canned email they send.

I suspect they don't like the purchase from DHGate.

I suspect that there is no canned email that would relate to using an unlinked card. Thus, you probably got an email that was closest to the circumstances.

When ur using BOA and its a stealth account.. are u using your real address or stealth? I have one now the address is correct but name is wrong and they are taking my pp withdrawls fine. I was wondering about the diff addresses i have an idea what to do but was just checking... thanks!

First Edition 05-20-2010 08:32 PM

For the purposes of a paypal withdrawal, the address and name on the bank account makes absolutely no difference whatsoever.

If you use your debit card, yes the address will have to match with whatever is on paypal. They make the card pass an address verification test.

I second bank of america. It is awesome. they seem to not care how many accounts you open and close haha

First Edition 05-27-2010 11:19 AM

BOA, Chase, Suntrust, US bank are highly recommended by me.

I may not agree with their business plan, but using them on stealth accounts works great!

Just started a checking and savings there recently boa...one question though when a account goes down do you just call and say hey...close this one but I need to open another lol. just wondering best way to go...plan on having 10+ accounts at a time to age. Nearest one to me is 30 miles.

First Edition 05-28-2010 06:54 AM

I would go ahead and open 5, and then when goes down open a new one first, then close the old one.

HurricaneHuntr 06-12-2010 07:19 AM

learned my lesson with ally, they stick it to you....

mememe1972 06-12-2010 05:05 PM

Ally does a credit check so if you fico is low thats a no go

mememe1972 06-12-2010 05:10 PM

Why would you close the accouts, do you only close them if your stealth gets limited
