rangerschool | 12-26-2007 08:35 PM | Chris,
What if you are in Check Systems? Can they still approve you for an account?
It says prepaid but Im not seeing if they ask for this information anywhere on their website.
I need this to get past that Paypal checking verification garbage.
Thanks for the help. |
Chris Hanson | 12-27-2007 01:42 PM | ^^^ Doesnt matter. They will still approve you |
thelizardking | 12-29-2007 04:51 AM | do they give you a routing number and account number? I couldn't find that info on the site. |
rangerschool | 12-29-2007 05:56 PM | Chris,
Thanks for the info about Check Systems. I applied online and somehow when I fill out the application and hit the submit button.
It shows me a blank page and says in the URL line at the bottom left "done" but doesnt send me any kind of a confirmation or anything. Did you run into this problem?
Maybe its something on their end of the Website. Im not running virus or Spyware protectors that would limit me. I also switched Browsers from Mozilla to IE.
I noticed they have a help line which I called, but I guess I have to contact them back during Business hours. |
rollinlove | 12-31-2007 12:27 PM | I just tried to sign up for it as well, and the same thing happened to me
screen went to a blank page with no confirmation. |
spunk | 01-03-2008 12:18 AM | I have a card and that happened to me when I first applied on Firefox, and then when I tried again on IE, I got through - I have not yet used the card on Paypal though, so I can't say how it works there ... |

Chris Hanson | 01-03-2008 07:20 PM | RangerSchool,
I get that sometimes on other websites. most of the time its because of Firefox |
racing08 | 01-03-2008 07:22 PM | They ask for a SSN# wouldnt that give a link to ebay if they needed it???????
Thanks:confused:
Barry |
spunk | 01-03-2008 08:34 PM | Paypal can not ask your credit card provider what your social security number is - that is a complete violation of your privacy rights ... |
Jonas | 01-03-2008 08:44 PM | Not to mention ebay wouldn't know if a SS# is linked to the card, just it's a card and an AVS match. |
rangerschool | 01-07-2008 07:44 PM | If anybody needs a virtual bank account and Debit Mastercard or a Prepaid Visa that is 100% guaranteed for Ebay and Paypal I would recommend Account Now. Good support, fast set up.
100% Guaranteed Approval Debit MasterCard/Prepaid Visa/Checking Accounts
*Offer our applicants 100% GUARANTEED APPROVAL! With no credit or ChexSystems® checks, we approve virtually all applicants
Well Chris it worked! I got approved and the card came in.
I was also able to verify my Paypal deposits with a virtual Bank Account.
Their customer service is pretty good to. Recommended for sure.
Beats having to go through setting up a ton of checking accounts and credit cards at the bank. You can do it all online.
Thanks again for that one! |
spunk | 01-08-2008 11:28 AM | The only thing I did not like about Account Now is that they charge 9.95 per month for "maintenance" and that seemed a little high for me, but if that is your only option for a bank account/CC card, than it might just be the cost of doing business :D |

Killed by Ebay | 01-16-2008 08:07 PM | Can you use this to open a new paypal account? My old one was limited so i would liek to open a new one if possible |

gitrooman | 01-16-2008 10:42 PM | No thanks, i'll stick to simon.com, cant go wrong. |
Lisa B | 01-22-2008 03:48 PM | When you sign up for accountnow do you give them your real information? |
MrJosh | 01-22-2008 03:50 PM | Yes! Unless you already have an account now card---then just tweak your ss number and your email and phone --- it works! |
Ballsack | 01-23-2008 03:07 AM | Has anyone here purchased one of these bank cards with a simon or privacash card?? |
asian4dude | 01-23-2008 08:15 AM | Very interesting site. I've been looking for alternatives from INGdirect. Will try for sure |
jhkkknn | 01-27-2008 08:56 AM | I thought that the accountnow was a metabank account that paypal no longer accepts??? |
anthonychan | 01-27-2008 03:26 PM | can this be used to withdraw paypal cash from paypal account to bank account? |
x2ruff4u | 01-27-2008 04:21 PM | System Maintenance In Progress
T>T I put a different social. Ill try later |
k1ley4evr | 02-01-2008 06:23 PM | i just got my card in the mail. I was just wondering when I add this to my paypal, what should i put under the name of the bank? Accountnow? or metabank? |
k1ley4evr | 02-04-2008 11:25 AM | Just wanted to let everyone know that it took only 2 days for me to see the 2 small deposits that paypal made. |
mantisinc | 02-06-2008 01:13 PM | Can I use this in the UK? I did sign up for Entropay which worked fine for ebay, but for paypal purposes, I need bank account information.
Or, is there an alternative that will give you bank account info? |
Ballsack | 02-06-2008 06:23 PM | the UK has a couple of debit card companies. You can also try etrade. |
mantisinc | 02-07-2008 01:34 AM | Ballsack, have you got any examples of places that will have a virtual bank account as well?
I would go and open up another real bank account with Barclays, but I'm not sure if Paypal will look into the details I signed up that bank account with, and link back to my suspended ebay account? |
Ballsack | 02-07-2008 02:17 AM | I don't recall the names of the two prepaid card companies in the UK but there are only two that I know of so it shouldn't be hard for you to find them. Google is your friend. Paypal cannot see anything relating to your bank acct. |
mantisinc | 02-07-2008 04:54 AM | And these companies will offer bank details with their card?
I have found one company called sterlingcard, although it seems pretty expensive (£14.95 setup fee in total, with various other fees).
I don't want to sign up, pay the fee, and then realise that they don't offer bank details. After all, it's only the bank details I'm after! |

mantisinc | 02-07-2008 05:58 AM | Okay. I've looked around, (there was a long list of prepaid credit cards on moneysupermarket), but I just can't find out if they provide a bank account or not.
I signed up with entropay, and it appears they don't provide bank account details.
I really just want to make sure if I sign up, I WILL get bank account details; and ideally, I think £14.95 from Sterlingcard seems a little expensive. |
Lisa B | 02-11-2008 04:00 PM | Let me see if I get this right…….
I set up an account with Account now with my real information, real name, address, etc.
Next, I create a new PayPal account with a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name and ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address, working yet ⊗⊗⊗⊗ phone number and use my account now virtual banking account to receive the two small deposits.
Lastly, I create a new eBay account with ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name, ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address/phone (matching PayPal or course) and add my account now credit card?
Won’t I fail the address verification when eBay runs my account now credit card and realize the addresses don’t match? |
Chris Hanson | 02-11-2008 05:08 PM | Everything is correct but you will want to use a gift card for Ebay since its anonymous,..
or
you could just link your paypal account since its verified
or
you can add your account now banking details to ebay..
