Dear xxx,

An electronic funds transfer from your PayPal account to your bank account was declined by the bank. Typically, this happens for one of the following reasons:
> - The bank account number does not exist or is otherwise invalid
> - The bank branch listed in your PayPal account does not exist
> - The bank does not accept electronic withdrawals
> - Other reasons not specified by the bank
>
> Before attempting another withdrawal to your bank account, please check that you have the correct information from your bank, and update it in your PayPal profile if necessary.

ANYBODY has had this problem with them also? This bank account says now disabled on paypal so I went ahead and added another bank account 2-3 to verify deposits. I called netspend and they say everything is fine it must been a problem with paypal. Let me know anybody please? Thank you!

rsot 09-02-2010 03:56 PM

Which bank? Possibly a non-acceptance on their part - some banks do flag accounts for Paypal reception.

FandangoKango 09-02-2010 04:30 PM

Metabank...

Gamefreak 09-05-2010 02:46 PM

I have the same problem with metabank and paypal.. Their site claims that u can accept paypal but I have never been able to. Payments always been rejected.

FandangoKango 09-06-2010 12:21 AM

what error message do you get from paypal exactly?

king02 09-07-2010 08:38 AM

the name on the paypal account and netspend account must match or metabank will reject it

rsot 09-07-2010 08:57 AM

So Metabank does name verific...it would seem

FandangoKango 09-08-2010 12:10 AM

idk, but i used the same last name and first name always different and it always works.

imthatguy 09-09-2010 06:05 PM

Is it working now?

FandangoKango 09-11-2010 03:21 AM

yes, some work and some don't work. you will just have to find out for yourself. that's how paypal is working CORRUPTED PAYPAL!

Yep !

FandangoKango 09-11-2010 11:06 AM

why are people here saying they must match always?

i have done a few accounts with the last name being the same as the metabank and the first name is different then the one on metabank and it always work 99 percent of the time.

aspkin 09-11-2010 11:24 AM

Well, not 100% match but as you mention somewhat match yes, that IS the case.

Just like with ING online savings accounts, they're the same way.

First Edition 09-11-2010 04:17 PM

Didn't we all decide metabank is a no no with paypal? I thought this has been discussed before....

The name has to match, or a variation. And the bad part, not only will paypal shut you down... so will the bank.

Your saying that its a no go? but im saying it is a go because i have a few stealth that dont match the name on netspend and its doing fine with transfers. So are you saying that at some point paypal will shut you down and netspend also? keyword: at some point is what im referring too...

First Edition 09-12-2010 01:15 PM

Haven't we established Metabank as one where name matching is required?

What other reasons can you think of the deposit to get rejected?

Well works a few times so it has to be classified as a taking risk so 50/50, but it will go through or it might not with risk.

First Edition 09-13-2010 12:37 PM

i use regular bank accounts, and never have a problem

FandangoKango 09-13-2010 11:59 PM

so if i need to open 40 bank accoutns you think ima get them a different regular banks lol. i dont think that. idk. you let me know?

but i think i can get 40 prepaid cards... with 40 virtual bank accounts.

First Edition 09-14-2010 12:59 AM

virtual bank account.... what exactly do you think that is?

I have over 130 bank accounts in my name, and almost 300 in various companies and entities.

My accountant makes a good living.

lol, im too young for too many actual bank accounts for having that many. i prefer the prepaid cards which give you a virtual bank account since i wont be doing this forever. nice to know you have 130 plus a ton more lol.

GreenBean 09-15-2010 12:40 AM

has this achieved anything? :ranger:

It can be troublesome for users who want to keep their paypal accounts active to use netspend/metabank.

Works for Me :pop2:

There is no such thing as a "virtual bank account" Please understand that now.

You might have an account where there is no physical location with tellers and managers, also known as a branch office, but there is no such thing as a virtual bank account.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Your wrong. :nono: There is such a thing and its exactly what you just described. I have a few of them...

What Is a Virtual Bank Account?

A virtual bank account involves the use of a financial institution that works with electronic deposit and withdrawal methods and does not include a physical base of operations.

right....

I just said that's a bank without a physical branch office.....

Like ING Direct....

Some people, A LOT are under the impression a wal mart money card, for example, isn't a really bank account... it is...... :) follows the same laws and regulations as any other bank

Then why did you say: There is no such thing as a "virtual bank account" Please understand that now.?? Lol. When the term exist.

I agree that a walmart moneycard has a bank account and the same laws abide to it, but its a virtual bank account or correct me im wrong too.

First Edition 09-16-2010 01:50 AM

your definition of a VBA is not what you think it is

As if it's a f.a.k.e. bank account?

alphaversa 10-06-2010 07:08 PM

I have a question:

For those of you who are having your withdraws rejected by metabank, how much are you withdrawing? I don't think they care about small amounts (just like green dot). I find on green dot if you accummulate too high of a balance or you withdraw more than $200 at a time they investigate you. If you spread it out and keep the withdrawals low every day then things should go smoothly. Any thoughts?

aramos 10-06-2010 07:14 PM

I'm getting my netspend card in the mail in a few days, but from the looks of it, it's not going to work well :(.

doughboykilla 10-10-2010 07:08 PM

it really depends on how much money if going thorugh before they start blocking for miss matched names.

theres probly a trigger u hit when u depoist so much money which will flag your account for a review person to check it out.

newtools 10-10-2010 09:25 PM

Meta bank i have not had great luck on... virtual bank account like ING, Ally bank are good as long as you have matching names of a name variation like a slight misspelling.

Vba - not the kind used as actual savings accts to withdraw too, but for verification as a stealth user such as vcc's but instead to verify bank acct. for paypal or ebay. This si what is being referred too. aside from usable acct to withdraw too.

But even vba - for verification only is a real acct. - not ⊗⊗⊗⊗.

FandangoKango 10-11-2010 05:02 AM

If i remember correctly i got rejected by netspend which netspend says its not them, but paypal... i got blocked at paypal after cashing out to netspend at about over $600 dollars or way more. That was like 1-2 months ago.

Currently I called netspend today also and asked why i coudnlt activate another card that had come in the mail and I was told because the max cards you can have with them is 3 per person. I had 7 activated lol. So they wanted to close some accounts. Hmm, guess walmart moneycard or greendot will have to do.
