unable to delete entropay cards
 

hi,

please can anyone help, getting this message when trying to delete a card, Cannot delete a card having un-equal available and actual balances

Yes I also got this yesterday, this is entropay's reply to me -

Thank you for the email.
Please note that you cannot now destroy a virtual card if there are outstanding pre-authorisations on your card. You will need to wait for them to expire first. This can take up to 30 days.

no it is not on the way out.

It is simple, if you have bought something or been charged for putting the card onto ebay etc..,

Entropay no longer lets you delete the card until the pending balanace and available balance is the same.

Example :
Actual Balance
£6.70
Available Balance
£6.54

You cannot delete the card until they both say £6.70 or £ 6.54
or both say ZERO or any other amount that states the SAME figure in both ACTUAL BALANCE & AVAILABLE BALANCE.

It doesnt take payments 30 days to time out or be taken by relevant companies you purchase from.

It's stupid! Their Actual balance always takes longer to update. If I load $10 on vcc and make a $10 purchase, the Available Balance will instantly go to $0, the seller will receive the money (meaning $10 will be taken out from my account and sent to the seller) while the Actual Balance will need at least 5 days to update.

This means that you are stuck with a vcc for 5-10 days just because their stupid system needs a lot more time to update after taking the money from your account.

Where is the security here?

This is an inconvenience when you are used to deleting creating lots of different cards - the answer is to have stealth entropay accounts

lol i already started creating stealth entropays, its nice how stealth can be applied to almost everything :)

I didn't notice that Entropay have a business website too.

I notice with business the cards are Mastercard and not Visa

The fees are actually lower. Mastercard is not as good for withdrawing as Visa, but for just spending and confirming accounts it should be fine.

Some members reporting problems with purchasing on Amazon using Entro, maybe a business account will cause less headaches

For anyone in the US reading this (yes, it is happening here too with the wait times) Entropay does not do business accounts in the USA.

If you are in the UK, then you can sign up for a business account which will - theoretically - allow you to create unlimited cards. I say theoretically because what will happen in practice is that Entropay will want to know what the cards are being created for. So, have a good explanation ready.

It's worth signing up for a stealth Entro biz account to see it in action, then if any problems you main account is still ok

I wonder if I could do a stealth UK account. I hardly use Entropay when creating accounts, but there HAVE been times when it has come in handy.

I have just registered for a business account, my initial upload limit was set to £1 :)

Also they are asking for a tonne of information

Good evening Everyone

Can someone please confirm how long it usually takes for the Actual And Available Balances to equal from the purchase date using Entropay please?

I know they mention 30 days which is rather silly.

Is it typically about 5 business days like other typical Visa Cards?

Depends on what the transaction is.

If it was a purchase then it usually takes 2 to 3 working days to "clear".

If it is a "test charge" like the £1.00 ebay pre-authorises when setting up a seller account with a card then it can take around 8 or 9 days.

I purchased 2 items with Entropay, and they both show on the Card Statement with dates of the 14th of April.

However as of this morning the Balance is:

Actual 0.64
Available 0.10

54p Difference and I do not know why?

Could this be due to a Fee or the Forex Rate/Exchange Rate?

So annoying as I cannot delete the card due to this petty amount!

I would expect whatever it is to drop off either this morning or tomorrow.

Could be related to exchange rates as you have stated due to Entropay being issued outside of the UK.

Update

On one of my cards I have just received a code through from Paypal for a new PP Account.

Actual Balance £1.79
Available Balance £1.78

1p out.

Looks like there is a currency fluctuation going on.
